The Get Shorty series is really good. I'm almost finished season 1. Hated the movie but this is fun.

Netflix just quietly dropped The Wandering Earth the 3rd biggest movie of 2019 (so far) the other day. $700M total box office despite the fact that it received only a limited release anywhere outside of China.

Can't say I've watched a whole lot of Chinese movies, so I don't have much to compare to, but it was fun, if pretty formulaic.

Hmm, how about a bunch of naked male miners (not minors!) shoveling? – Sure, why not.

Hmm, I’d like to see a dragon burn a eunuch while his dwarf friend looks on. – We got you covered.

How about two grown men cowering in a Honda Pilot afraid of a 12 year old girl? – Sounds like Sunday to us.

We liked Watchmen but Rorschach was easily the best part. – How about a series with a bunch of Rorschachs? - We won’t promise its good, but we will promise a bunch of Rorschachs. And Don Johnson!

Hmm, Danny McBride as a televangelist? – Bloody good idea!

How about Jesse from Breaking Bad in what looks like a completely new SciFi show but then we find out it’s the next season of an existing property? –We cannot think of a reason why not.

How about a vehicle for the super talented Toni Collette? – We’ve asked you to stop pestering us.
