i guess it can be a slippery slope but we're talking ciau not ncaa here

if anything, ebners story makes me think how dumb ncaa rules are

case in point below ... if a "booster" did that at an ncaa school, i think the kid loses his eligibility

Mr. O’Connor had a job this past summer with the real estate business run by Francesco Aquilini, billionaire owner of the Vancouver Canucks. David Negrin, a UBC alumnus and 13th Man supporter, is president. CIS has no rule to govern such situations.

I'm sure there are smaller universities like the Mt. Allison's and St. FX's that are saying we don't have the funding to compete with larger programs, but I also don't remember a lot of hullabaloo when Laval was winning the Vanier Cup on a yearly basis.

/As the article states, Laval has won 7 of the 13 Vanier Cups.

RIP Willie Burden, gone way too early at 64.

The former running back was one of the greatest players in Stampeders history and holds a place of honour on the club's Wall of Fame.

Burden played for Calgary from 1974 to 1981 and still holds the franchise's single-season rushing record of 1,896 yards, which he established in 1975.

"Willie was a great player, a great teammate and a great friend," said Stampeders general manager John Hufnagel, who played with Burden from 1976-79. "He will be sorely missed and I offer condolences to his family."

Chris Jones is the new head coach and GM of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Likely the highest paid person in the CFL.

No kidding, that's pretty good bank for Maas. Also, the Redblacks want compensation from Edmonton for the hiring of Maas, first real issue for Commish Orridge to deal with.

Stamps have released Juwan Simpson (Huf stating salary cap implications along with the opportunity to give younger players a chance).

/Simpson is 31, not that old, but in Huf we trust.
