The Calgary Stampeders are heavy favourites to repeat as Grey Cup champions.

According to Bodog.ca, the Stampeders are 13-4 favourites to hoist the Grey Cup again this November in Winnipeg.

While the team suffered some losses on the offensive line, return their two most important players in Bo Levi Mitchell and Jon Cornish.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders (5-1), Edmonton Eskimos (11-2) and B.C. Lions (6-1) follow in what promises to be a tough West Division.

With Darian Durant healthy again, the Roughriders figure to present the Stamps their greatest challenge for home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

The Stampeders are also 7-5 favourites to win the East Division.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are 13-2 favourites to bring the Grey Cup back East while they are 3-2 to win the division.

If the Ticats pull through, it would be their third straight trip to the Grey Cup, and if the odds hold true, third straight time they enter the championship game as underdogs.

The Montreal Alouettes and Toronto Argonauts are next up in Grey Cup odds at 8-1.

Not surprisingly, the Ottawa Redblacks are the biggest longshot to win it all at 20-1.

The Stamps look good, but no way they take the East Division crown (lol)

@SUNMitchell Dave Dickenson confirmed Rich Stubler will not be back. He's heading to the #Argos. #CFL

Devone Claybrooks will likely take over as Stamps DC.

Back to the NCAA for Tedford, I reckon.

/I think he signed a 2 year contract, so I guess he'll get paid for not coaching the Lions next season.

He allegedly resigned so if thats true, he wont get paid ... its all weird ... even yesterday farhan said tedford doesnt want an ncaa job ... he doesnt want to do the recruiting shit anymore ... sounds like he wants a stress free NFL asst coaching job ... good luck finding that lol

Stamps announcement. Jon Cornish's retirement most likely.

Sad that he couldn't go out on his own terms, but he's a smart guy (some would call him eccentric), he had a short, but great career with the Stamps.

Riders Canadian depth isn't very good, but I agree, Jones could certainly turn around that defense.

/Obviously, a healthy Darian Durant is essential.

Is that 490K per year for Ray or is it over 2 yrs? Either way it's a decent deal especially when you compare it to other pro sports athletes

In the final moments of the Vanier Cup, the Canadian university football championship last Saturday, the University of British Columbia was led to a last-second victory by a 19-year-old quarterback, Michael O’Connor, the game’s most valuable player.

It was a glorious moment for UBC, a perennial loser in football until this year. But Mr. O’Connor’s arrival from the United States has not been without controversy, and has put a spotlight on recruitment policies for university sports that are considered vague and inadequate. At issue is the wooing by UBC, its coach, and a key alumni backer of Mr. O’Connor last winter, which included a trip to an NFL playoff game in Seattle and dinner with Warren Moon, the NFL Hall of Fame quarterback.

No official complaints have been filed and few are willing to comment publicly about the recruitment of Mr. O’Connor, although the issue has been discussed extensively in the small world of Canadian university football. Many are worried about the effects of the rise of alumni money in football and the need to strengthen Canadian Interuniversity Sport’s recruitment rules.

Wooing of star UBC quarterback raises red flags about recruiting rules
