CFL games return to ESPN in 2015

BRISTOL -- The schedule kicks off with three preseason contests on ESPN3, beginning Friday, June 12, when the defending Grey Cup champion Calgary Stampeders host the BC Lions at 9:30 p.m. ET.

CFL regular season games begin Thursday, June 25, at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2. Michael Sam, the 2013 SEC Defensive Player of the Year, is expected to make his CFL debut for the Montreal Alouettes when they host the Ottawa Redblacks at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium. ESPN’s complete schedule of CFL games will be announced at a later date.

ESPN telecasts will utilize production and commentator teams from TSN, Canada’s Sports Leader.

Just finished watching the game this morning (fell asleep halfway through last night). Jennings looked pretty good last night, I think he could be the opening day starter for BC if Lulay isn't ready to go. Stamps have a glut of pretty good receivers, whomever doesn't make the team will definitely find work with another CFL team.

Stamps are down to 65 players (that doesn't include 2015 draft picks and players currently injured). Jock Sanders didn't survive the axe, but I like the look of some of the new guys that Huff has brought into camp. Bo Levi's older brother survived the first two rounds of cuts, looks like he might make the team.

It was a pre-season game and several regulars were missing from the Lions defence, but Andrew Buckley looked pretty good under centre. He still has a year of eligibility left at the University of Calgary.

Lots of speculation that the Als were looking to cut Michael Sam - He wouldn't be the first guy to come up to the CFL thinking he was a shoo-in to make the team only to realize that there are some damn good football players in this league.

I certainly think he saw the writing on the wall ... heard a montreal reporter in the cesspool say he wasnt even getting 2nd team reps in training camp

wouldnt be surprised if the Als wanted to cut him but told him to stick around on the practice roster purely for the pr and he said no
