The low-paid Amazon people, for the most part, are the ones who work at the "Fulfillment Centers" ie: warehouse workers. Their tech people are pretty well compensated since there's so much competition out there for their services.To an extent they do but not all.
Yes that is very true all real estate near these locations in Crystal City and Long Island City will skyrocket worse than they already are making it impossible for others to live there.

The Bronx is pretty much the only borough left untouched right now by any sort of mass gentrification and my guess is within a matter of years Amazon has some offices there and the condos follow and before you know it they're building a new subway line from there to Queens.
