Cancer sucks.

My mother in law lost her fight with it. It's been one of the most awful things to watch the last few years. Made infinitely worse by watching the fights with the health care industry along the way.

RIP funny lady. At least the pain is gone.

I may have told this story before - I played my Juvie AAA hockey on a fairly rough team. Only guy who made it to the show was John Craighead (cup of coffee with the Leafs as a goon, right after Kypreos got KO'd in spectacular fashion).
anywho, we were playing an away game in Squamish, and it was getting a bit rough as always. One of the redneck dads in the crowd yells "Get that n..... off the ice" towards John.
His 16 year old sister happened to be with us on the roadtrip, calmly walked over the dad and proceeded to beat the everloving shit out of him. Such a beating that the players stopped playing to watch.

My sons team played in chilliwack wednesday night and i saw the chilliwack chiefs team photos on the wall in the concourse of chilliwack coliseum with john craighead on one of those 90’s teams

i played for years on a team with Dante Fabbro's dad, and the first game I played against him he speared me in the gut on the first shift, so who knows.
