I can see @forty_three ‘s rant now. It is the same as Chris Rocks just replace Jada with Mattola. :D

Hey @puckhead , do you remember Baby Duck?

001123.jpg.thumb.1280.1280.jpg

Only $12.60 lol

Never heard of it. Was it only in Canada?

Our cheap crap of choice was MD 20/20 and more easily available vs the others.

For Beer it was the 36 case Hamms Beer chest or the case of Keystone. Either of which was around $5.99.

Keystone was new at the time and Coors did anything to sell that swill.

MD 20/20 for us here too.

Beer was Milwaukee's Best AKA The Beast or Busch. I know we could get Milwaukee's Best for about $4.99.

Yah it was the best selling wine in canada in the 70’s when dash turned 40.

Very cheap and sweet. I remember it was one of the jug wines that my dad would buy to drink but mostly to reuses the jugs to bottle the vineg … err … wine that he made in our basement. Calona wines was big too … that is still bottled in kelowna and they have a tasting room in an industrial area in kelowna lol

There was also this in canada.

/ ill be in palm springs next week and will be scoping out the dollar stores for this lol

I remember it, but it was never my choice.
also the gals were impressed with the more exotic sounding Spumante.

When we went to the beach or the park we used to drink 2 Liter bottles of Canada Cooler Rockaberry
take the label off and it didn't look like booze. Drink too much and your piss turns purple.

I think my most regrettable booze purchase (other that the cheapest 26er of tequila I could find) was when my buddy wanted to make Sangria,
and the cheapest bottle of wine we could fine was Kelly's Irish Red. It came in a gallon jug with a thumb hook. terrible stuff.

and a few months ago I was at my parents' place, and my dad offered to open a bottle of wine.
I have learned to ask "what is it?" first, and sure enough... Blue Nun.
I stuck with beer.

Well, another eff cancer story, My brother-in-law passed away last night after a close to three year battle. He was such a great person, always looking out for you, willing to help out at the drop of a hat and he really stepped in to help out my ailing mom in my absence after my dad passed away. RIP Terry.

I am so sorry Dash. Our sincere condolences.

My wifes old boss's wife passed away 2 weeks ago from Brain Cancer after a 2 year battle.

a really close friend of mine was just diagnosed 2 months ago with an even more aggressive brain cancer than she had. He has between 1 to 4 years and is seeking different options.

eff cancer indeed

Sorry for your family's loss.

Thanks buddy, I feel bad for my sister, at least they did a lot of travelling together when my brother-in-law was still healthy, but she'll be turning 63 in 2 months and is in fine health. Not that she hasn't been preparing herself for this fateful day, but now reality sets home. At least she has her kids close by and grandkids to spoil.
