Man, I wish I could put together a round of golf like this...

CqKgJAkWAAEBdzK.jpg

Same here, Dash. I've never parred 9 holes and was a +1 going to hole #9 earlier this summer. Bombed the tee shot 280 to the middle of the fairway and hit a great approach shot to what I thought was the back fringe. I'm walking to the green thinking I had a 15-20 foot putt to actually make par for nine holes. NOPE! Ball had hit a sprinkler head on the fringe and bounced 20 yards beyond the green to go a foot into the penalty area. Took a triple bogey. Typical Capitals ending to that one.

Golf is a fickle bitch.

And I see my girlfriend is still leading... :thumb: Get 'em, baby!

A quick overall comment about these Olympics. You regulars in here have done a great job commenting on and focusing on the important stuff (Canada = Bronze). And I thank you all for it. Honestly.

Secondly, I want to say that I am impressed as h_ll at the Canadian team. Gosh, back in the day, I remember when Canada's medal output was counted with the fingers on one hand. One particular Olympics, Greg Joy was a national hero. Canada has really upped its game and it is quite impressive. Well Done Canada !!!

^Seconded, BG. Great Olympics for the US and Canada.

Also, how about the British? Second in medals and 21 golds. For such a small country, that's a stunning accomplishment. What's in the shepherd's pie over there?!? ;)

Her majesty must be pleased by all her present and former subjects.

A major factor is how poor the road conditions are in England. You can barely drive on most of them and they are too congested to go anywhere fast.

Hence all the bikes.

Did anyone see that Kenyan female running in the 800m semis?

Not sure why this scene from Space Balls comes to mind.

Brooke Henderson charging up the leaderboard, par 5 18th left to play and already 6 under on her round. If she can birdie 18, she'll be a single shot out of the lead.
that's a hell of a moving day, the day before moving day.
3 alts banned in one day was my personal record.

I got banned once for referring to the OOTS, and the mods assumed it was something dirty.
(Out Of Town Scoreboard)
Mods had feedback email box - I'm surprised my IP address wasn't permanently blocked after the stream of obscenities I sent that day
