So you'd trade 2 dudes who are valuable pieces to the offense in Santander and Mountcastle and a guy whosgreat on defense in Mateo for...what again? Santander would probably command maybe a #3 guy in another teams rotation, while the prospects could command a #1 or 2 in another rotation. Dont break up whats working right now. We did that in 2014 and look what happened.

Santander is absolutely expendable considering who we have in the minors and the case could made that Mountcastle is as well.

Mateo has been hitting much better this year, which makes him much more valuable than as a simple defensive replacement.

Middle relief remains troubling and santander and mounty could get valuable shut down guys for the 6-8th innings.

6/2/24 Should have been a sweep of the Rays but Coulumbe blows another game. This bullpen is shit, period!

Once again, Elias did not do enough for this young team that is ready to contend now with sufficient pitching. He claims to have had a lot of depth however, that depth was not enough to have faith moving forward thinking a guy like Means would be there long term. Now Wells. Bradish looked like he forgot to pitch yesterday resulting in compromising the bullpen arms.

Elias did not do enough to ensure the O's had a formidable 1-2-3 or upgrades to the bullpen this year. It is just disappointing is all.

I think it was Hyde's leaving in of Tate too long is the primary reason. Should've seen that he was struggling to do anything while coming back for the 8th. Could've had Coulombe come in then and hope to shut things down to bring Kimbrel in the 9th. Honorable mention goes to Mountcastle who just went up there hacking at the first pitch with the bases loaded and ends up grounding into an inning ending double play.

Agreed. It's just going to be very difficult with Burnes though since Boras loves to take his guys to free agency. Just have to hope that he enjoys playing with Baltimore to have a chance.

I feel like with the numerous starting pitching injuries right now and with the likelihood of Burnes not coming back next season, we should trade for someone like a Luzardo or Crochet that we'll have control over for at least more than one season.

I always stop by the Crazy Mason there in Ellicott City before getting to my hotel. Great place if you love ice cream.

Yeah, parking isn't always the most enjoyable thing there. I know that they really jacked up the price, at least for the game I went to a few weeks back. I'm going again next Monday to the Cleveland game (I did the rookie flex deal so I'm able to get to a bunch of games) so curious how much it'll be (at least the hotel I stay in has a parking garage so don't have to worry too much about it).
