Good game. I agree about shootouts, just end it in a tie. I was much more amped up an nervous in OT than the shootout even though its worth the same point. Shootout win feels like less of a win. Regardless, needed 2 points, lets get 2 more tomorrow.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Let's not get carried away. I am tired of the shootouts and I think they are a terrible way to end a game but they are still way better than ties.

Until the league mans up and cuts the schedule, increases roster size, and adopts baseballs every game ends philosophy, whatever they chose will be some degree of stupid.

I have no issue with ties. Don't necessarily have strong opinions either way about shootouts either. The thing that bugs me the most is how some games are worth 3 points and some are worth 2. If they can somehow make all games worth the same amount of points, I'd happily consider whatever method they choose as a compromise, if not ideal.

Id say he got lucky ... but ...

With 2:19 left, and in the need of a huge penalty kill, Vigneault trusted Barker on the ice with Jason Garrison. It proved to be a good call, because when Ryane Clowe fired a wrist shot into an open net, Barker made the save of the game.

“I took it in a tough spot, right in the junk,” said Barker, stoked Vigneault had him on the ice for the critical shift.

great game by Canucks. Fucking Burrish. couldn't seal it in OT with that PP. Ballard injured? top 3 lines are coming together now to just get some finish. frustrating to see Crampy let in another softy but overall he played extremely well for the light work. we should kill columbus but will probably lose it thats type of season
