Exactly, Mark Barron is essentially going to be a new type of hybrid player. He will be S/OLB, like the edge rushers are listed as DE/OLB. He will fill BOTH rolls. Sometimes he will be at the SS position and TJ gets a snap or two off. Sometimes he will cover the run and/or a TE as the OLB. OLB is not a need. a backup ILB to JL is more of a need than an OLB. I saw another thread about AJ Hawk. I would not mind bringing him in to be a utility guy of sorts. Imagine, the Legion of Boom meets the Legion of Doom 2.0 (Hawk and L'il Animal)!!

Thanks for breaking it down. Yeah Barron fills that roll pretty good. I agree we do have bigger holes to fill I just want to see that beast running around like a madman on the Rams D lol.

If he's capable in coverage, it could happen; the Rams do love their freaks on defense. I do think someone else is likely to get him before the Rams, but you never know.

Ok, realistic AND an A+ draft. Traded down to #30 in round 1 and got a 2nd and a 3rd. traded down in the 2nd and got a 3rd and 4th. Grayson was gone by 3/21 and Petty was gone by 3/30 so I went with option C. I see 5 immediate starters in this group and a new starting KR/PR and a #2 TE

Your score is: 7090 (GRADE: A+)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 30 (G.B.): D.J. Humphries, OT, Florida (A-)
Round 2 Pick 21 (CINN): Paul Dawson, OLB/ILB, TCU (A)
Round 2 Pick 30 (G.B.): Reese Dismukes, C, Auburn (A)
Round 3 Pick 8: Arie Kouandjio, OG, Alabama (A-)
Round 3 Pick 21 (CINN): Alex Carter, CB, Stanford (A)
Round 3 Pick 30 (G.B.): Tevin Coleman, RB, Indiana (A)
Round 4 Pick 21 (CINN): Ben Koyack, TE, Notre Dame (A)
Round 5 Pick 9: Tyler Lockett, WR, Kansas State (A)
Round 7 Pick 10: Sean Mannion, QB, Oregon State (B)

I really like Paul Dawson. Lockett will be a value pick in the late rounds as well.

Only change I would make would be getting Petty or Grayson with 3/30 and then grabbing either Karlos Williams or another LB in round 7

I also got a 2016 1st round pick from GB for moving down to #30

I tried one on Friday and was getting offered future 1sts for moving down a little bit. The trades being offered seem to be getting ridiculous.

I can't imagine Lockett will make it to the fifth round. I doubt he makes it to day 3. I'm losing faith in first-pick being realistic at all of late.

Yeah when I do it I don't trade or one trade at the most to keep it real. I'm starting to like the idea of Trae Waynes at 10. Paring him with Jenkins with EJ covering the slot would be awesome. But the big picture we could maybe trade Johnson to a team when their CB goes down he will be a FA next year so getting something for him makes sense.

There are differing opinions on Waynes, some have him as the first CB off the board as early as top 10, others have him nearly dropping to the second round behind a couple other CBs.

I normally try to keep it as realistic as possible (usually a trade from ten to the teens and a trade in the 2nd) but we cannot REALLY use this as as basis for mocks. Hell, I did a draft the other day where Winston AND Mariota were available at #10.... come on

It is fun though.... and addictive.,

Agreed. It's essentially draft crack, lol.

You may be right here, but even in the 4th I think he's a good pick.

Johnson has showed more that Jenkins of late.

They will both be FA's next season. I would trade Jenkins because he would have more value and they could get more in return for him if they felt like they couldn't sign both guys.

Jenkins had a great rookie season and has tapered off since. Johnson has gradually improved ever year. I think at this point he has more upside, but Jenkins has the name and PR ability so he could garner more on the trade market.

I think he's legit for sure and then when he ran 4.3 I was oh crap. I do like Peters to and would be happy with either. 1.CB Waynes 2. OT Ogbuehi 3.

Hmm I don't know about that. Yeah Jenkins still does some stupid stuff here and there but I think overall he's a legit #1 CB and has the ability to turn the game around with one play. After Johnson got hurt I think EJ pretty much took his job? I think Johnson looked really good last year but took a bigger step back this year then Jenks IMO. I agree they could get more for Jenkins but it's because he is a better player. I don't think they will trade him. I would want a 1st rd pick for Jenkins before I would trade him. I think Johnson maybe gets you a 3rd.

Ogbuehi is coming off ACL surgery that he had in December. Not touching him, at least not in round 2

Idk he was a top 15 pick before the knee injury. if he checks out I think he would be a great RT tackle and a steal in the 2nd.

I think his health could push him to the third, where he would be much better value, since he would be unlikely to play this season.
