Well the Rams and Barksdale are not close on agreeing on a contract. so he will be hitting the FA market. I think this almost guarantees we go Oline at 10.

Not necessarily. There are MUCH better options at MUCH lower cost than what Barksdale will command. I think if we go after Wisnewski and either Hudson or Franklin, we can safely snag whichever WR is there at #10, or still trade down and snag Peat or Collins.

yeah but if you get a WR at 10 when do we get a starting RT? thats a gamble to trade back depends on how far. I agree we need to sign a FA center but I don't think they will have the money to land a center and a tackle in FA. maybe.

How many starting RTs in the league were first round picks?

Exactly.... I will take Jake Long back at a reduced rate to play RT or Jeremy Parnell from Dallas as a fall back. Draft the game breaker at #10 OR if the deal is right, move down a few spots and snag the next best lineman not named Scherff OR grab Devante Parker if White and Cooper are gone.

I'm fine with JLong coming back to play RT or even a backup role. He's gonna need some serious time to rehab to get back to 100% and I would rather not have him protecting our QB when he's not completely healthy. We all saw what happened last year when our HC had him in protecting Sams blindside.

As far as the draft is concerned, it's way too early to even tell where or who we're going to draft. Personally if history has shown us anything, Fisher likes vets on the front lines and Snead likes to trade out of awkward spots in the draft and supplement picks. Especially since we acquired Barron from the Bucks we're going to have to fill some of those missing middle rounds. I would look for the Rams to make a deal with a team like the Eagles or the Cowboys before, or on draft-day.

Bored waiting for FA news, so back to First-Pick (one trade down in the 1st):

Your score is: 5709 (GRADE: A)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 15 (S.F.): Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama (A)
Round 2 Pick 9: Quinten Rollins, CB, Miami (Ohio) (A)
Round 2 Pick 14 (S.F.): Laken Tomlinson, OG, Duke (B+)
Round 3 Pick 8: Reese Dismukes, C, Auburn (A)
Round 3 Pick 15 (S.F.): Cedric Ogbuehi, OT, Texas A&M (B)
Round 5 Pick 9: Zack Hodges, OLB, Harvard (B-)
Round 7 Pick 10: Connor Halliday, QB, Washington State (C)

Your Future Picks:
2016 Round 1 Pick
2017 Round 1 Pick

Just missed Petty and Hull at 5.5 and 5.6, so went for a QB flyer late with Halliday. Went CB at 2.9 since the top OL were likely to still be there a few picks later (and were). Odds of Cooper still being available at 1.15? Ridiculously low.

Probably about 25%. I do think there is a good chance that Cooper might be the 3rd WR off the board. Parker is getting AJ Green comparisons from a variety of scouts.

That seems like a stretch to me. One of the knocks on Parker is lapses of concentration and letting the ball into his body. The frame is similar (Parker is 6'3 209, while Green is 6'4 207). The only situation where I could see Parker passing Cooper would be if both are available to the Vikings at #11 (and they pick WR). Don't get me wrong, I like Parker (and wanted him if he was in last year's draft), but his production last year was less than half of what Cooper put up (and yes, I realize Parker was hurt, but that's still a huge gap).

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 13 (N.O.): Kevin White, WR, West Virginia (A)
Round 1 Pick 31 (N.O.): P.J. Williams, CB, Florida State (B+)
Round 2 Pick 9: Shaq Thompson, OLB/ILB, Washington (A-)
Round 2 Pick 12 (N.O.): Reese Dismukes, C, Auburn (A-)
Round 3 Pick 8: Jay Ajayi, RB, Boise State (A)
Round 4 Pick 20: Nick O'Leary, TE, Florida State (B+)
Round 7 Pick 32: Adam Shead, OG, Oklahoma (B-)

I think this would be a terrific draft for the Rams...probably won't happen though.

Did you trade the #10 for 2 1sts and a 2nd? Yeah, that seems a little excessive lol.

Here is a truly realistic draft that I think will happen.... Traded down from 10 to 11 and got a 2nd rounder. Traded from 9 to 13 in round 2 and got a 3rd.... this draft is LEGIT!!! Only thing I might do differently is now with Foles,Keenum and Davis, I might not draft a QB at all until the 6th or 7th, if at all. If Foles fails, he will not be back in 2016 and we can make a play for Connor Cook from Michigan St or Cody Kessler from USC or even Cardale Jones from Ohio St.

Your score is: 6165 (GRADE: A)

Your Picks:

Round 1 Pick 11 (MINN): Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama (A)
Round 2 Pick 13 (MINN): Laken Tomlinson, OG, Duke (B+)
Round 2 Pick 20 (PHI): Eli Harold, OLB, Virginia (A)
Round 3 Pick 8: Reese Dismukes, C, Auburn (A)
Round 3 Pick 20 (PHI): Josh Shaw, CB/FS, Southern California (A-)
Round 4 Pick 20: Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor (A)
Round 7 Pick 32: Trey DePriest, ILB, Alabama (B-)

Give me PJ Williams in the 2nd. That's some value. Nick O'Leary is going to be a good player but I don't know when he's going to come off the board.

I think I'd rather have DGB than any other Wr in the draft besides maybe Cooper. White is raw, just coming on the scene and not a lot of brains.

So are you thinking take PJ in the second instead of Eli Harold in my mock and go OLB/ILB where I took Shaw? I would be VERY ok with that.

White is going to Oakland... they love him after the combine. He will be a great player but so will Cooper. A difference maker. As for DGB, I would take him in round 2 if he was there, or if we made a trade down with a team in the 20's in round 1. Any earlier than that, I can still get Davante Parker who I like better than DGB as well.

I think if you pencil in PJ Williams into this Defensive mix, it's even better. Right now, EJ, Tru, JJ, Joyner, Roberson are a good mix of CBs, but they need to be better. We won't sign both Tru and JJ next year - personally I keep Tru. He's Sherman's size and JJ gets burnt a lot. What about trading JJ for a pick?

All the sudden you look around this team and the holes on D that were there are gone.

We need Oline and offense. But PJ is going to be a really good CB.

Our WRs are like our CBs. Lots of good young talent, but no #1. Not yet at least.

All I know is the D just got better against the run. The Dline is just redonk, LBs improved. Ayers is 6'3 255.

Why haven't the UCLA fans here told us more about this guy? I know he's good, but I cant follow all these guys.

ksu - I agree completely with your post #465. I'm not up on copying and pasting!

SJ - Agree with your CB/WR comparison. No #1. Also, I'd support a trade of JJ.

My latest, traded down in the 1st with SF, then down again in the 4th. White and Cooper were there at #15, unlikely. However, could replace him with Parker and keep the rest the same...
