Even with WR Parker instead of White at #15 like you suggest, the Rams would take that draft today.

I'm curious why you all keep drafting an OLB early in the draft, when we don't really have a shutdown CB??

Isn't our LB core pretty solid now and don't we need help more at CB than anything on defense?

All true, but the Rams LB depth is still sketchy and they still have a lot of able CBs. With Ayers in the fold now, that need should shift, but I'm sure many are still drafting as they had before. If anything, that OLB need is now a backup MLB need IMO.

I agree. I would think our LB core is better than our CB core. We have some young and talented CBs, but no one that has established himself as a shutdown. With the value there in the late 1st/2nd, I would think CB would be better than a OLB.

Now if Stephone Anthony is by chance there in the 3rd...

But I would think we need 2 Olineman and 1 CB with our first 3 picks as of now.

I would love to see us trade Janoris and Zac Stacy for Mo Claiborne in Dallas + a 5th rounder. They need RB and CB help + JJ will be a FA next year. Morris Claiborne has been dogged here and the guy has a lot of talent, might just need a fresh start.

That is REALLY where the LB corps is lacking, a true MLB to learn behind JL55 and spell him from time to time to give him a break.

So you would trade a CB for a CB.. how does that help the overall DB corps?? On top of that Claiborne is coming off an Achillies rupture. Thirdly, the Claiborne will also be a free agent at the end of next season. Not a smart move IMO.

Not sure what kind of health MO Clay is in now.. But JJ got burned enough for me to do swap. Stacy may not play. But I doubt Jerra Jones gives up Mo Clay. He's got a lot of upside and hasn't really done a darn thing.

Based on what the Rams need most and the value of said positions, I see the value of CB/FS guys to be in the mid to late 3rd round. I mean, do we pass on a DGB, Strong or Funchess in the early second round to snag PJ Williams or Marcus Peters? If those late 1st/early 2nd guys are gone when we pick at #9 in the second, any other CB/FS would be a serious reach there.
Try this and see how you like it... I have a hunch on Josh Shaw, especially getting to play with his former partner in crime TJ McDonald.

Your score is: 6388 (GRADE: A-)

Your Picks:

Round 1 Pick 10: Brandon Scherff, OT/OG, Iowa (A)
Round 2 Pick 24 (PITT): Laken Tomlinson, OG, Duke (A)
Round 3 Pick 8: Devin Smith, WR, Ohio State (A)
Round 3 Pick 23 (PITT): Josh Shaw, CB/FS, Southern California (A-)
Round 4 Pick 4 (JAX): B.J. Finney, C, Kansas State (A-)
Round 4 Pick 20: Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor (A)
Round 5 Pick 3 (JAX): Markus Golden, OLB/ILB, Missouri (B-)
Round 5 Pick 24 (PITT): Ramik Wilson, ILB, Georgia (C+)
Round 7 Pick 32: Ellis McCarthy, DT, UCLA (B)

I like it, but not a big Devin Smith fan. Quick/ fast, but not great hands. :) He may not crack our top 4 WRs

When are you seeing PJ Williams go off the board?

Wouldn't it be weird to take an OG with our first pick in the last 2 drafts?

We need help on the Oline, but it seems the Tackles in this draft are not all that.. I'm not a great Oline analyst, but I know the media blows them up because they are so valuable.

Most mocks have PJ Williams and Marcus Peters both gone between 30-35. Obviously if Williams or Peters is there, snag them. As for Devin Smith, best value at that spot (although I could have reached a little on Lockett)

Well first, considering that Robinson is now our starting LT and that was where they wanted him in the first place, I do not see it that way. And as for taking Scherff (or Collins for that matter) the issue is this. It is going to come down to who we sign of Barksdale and Blaylock as to where they would play week 1. They will either play LG (with Saffold moving back to RG where he is more comfortable) or RT depending on whether they sign Blaylock or Barksdale. Fisher likes versatile guys. Hell, that is why he drafted Jones, if he can get healthy. :mad2:

Traded down with KC to #18, picking up a 2nd and 3rd (they took Kevin White; Scherff and both QBs off the board already):

Your score is: 6710 (GRADE: A-)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 18 (K.C.): DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville (A)
Round 2 Pick 9: Marcus Peters, CB, Washington (B+)
Round 2 Pick 17 (K.C.): Laken Tomlinson, OG, Duke (A-)
Round 3 Pick 8: Reese Dismukes, C, Auburn (A)
Round 3 Pick 16 (K.C.): Ty Sambrailo, OT, Colorado State (A)
Round 4 Pick 20: Garrett Grayson, QB, Colorado State (A)
Round 6 Pick 40 (COMP): Tevin McDonald, FS/SS, Eastern Washington (C+)

Your Future Picks:

Couldn't find anyone interesting at 6.40, and technically you can't trade a comp pick, so kept it in the family, lol

This one if effing cash money. Even though i'd rather have DGB there instead of Parker.

Shopson - Love your draft!!!

SJ - Support trade of JJ but rather get pick instead of Claiborne. Agree that the OL in this draft is over-hyped. Like Collins though!

Clayton - No need to draft two centers. Barnes and Jones will be back with us.

ksu - I like Devin Smith also.
