LOL...
Now where did the red lipstick end up on Jeff Carters body?
I think it will be cool to see what Hexy can do when he has the reigns.
But promote Holmgren?
I guess they did the same with Clarke and he left the team in smoldering ruins.
In Friedman's latest 30 thoughts piece, he speculates that the Bruins have granted permission to the Canucks to talk to Jim Benning. He also mentions Paul Fenton and Lawrence Gilman remains in the mix.
question, can benning be hired in principle (and not announced until after they are done in the playoffs) so linden can act on a coach?
Good question - I think the league would prefer that any such hirings would be completed once both teams are out of Stanley Cup contention, although if past history is any indication, the league usually turns a blind eye to tampering.
/Remember when Mike Keenan orchestrated his way out of New York to St. Louis - The league was not happy about how that transpired.
is it tampering when permission is given? Im just thinking for the coaches getting snapped up and wanting GM input to do so (which I believe in) i guess Im just trying to ease my mind so we dont end up with a Dallas Eakins guy :/ and that its under control
Lionel Hutz: "What is truth err tampering?"
As for the coach, if Linden were to hire Barry Trotz, I don't think any GM would object to working with him. Now if Linden were to hire Ron Wilson, that would be a different story.
Marek Malik Retires.

Will always remember you for your shoot-out winner and your sub-par defense on the blue line!
Matty, that gif is great, but gets cut off too early - Marek wants the MSG crowd to "raise the roof" after that shootout winner.
