Alex Killorn just sent Paul Ranger off on a stretcher...
From reading some of the stuff on twitter, Paul Ranger might have put himself in a bad spot - from what you saw, was that the case?

He made a little turn right at the last second. It really wasn't all that bad on Killorn's part.
Q. So what’s on the docket on this trip to Columbus? You the tour guide?
A. Well, Bravo (restaurant) for sure. That was one of my go-tos. I’ll go home for a bit, chill at home.
No NHL supplementary discipline for TB's Alex Killorn on his hit last night on TOR's Paul Ranger.

No, but we all know that since Ranger went off on a stretcher and Killorn is a rookie (i.e., doesn't get the superstar benefit), the NHL is going to hit him hard.
First of all, nobody likes to see a guy stretchered off the ice, but it sounds like Ranger is doing okay which is great news. However, I see more and more defenseman trying that "reverse the grain" move and you either have to start it earlier or be quicker on your feet to get away with it. This may sound like I'm blaming Ranger, but I'm really trying to absolve Killorn of any blame and it appears the league feels the same way.
I agree 100% that Ranger put himself in a bad spot. I just didn't like how Killorn followed through on the hit. I think he could have let up and still pinned Ranger. Tough call for me to make from my couch though.
