At what point does "rivalry" become "too much time on your hands"?

There aren't enough face palm pictures in the world for that. I've honestly only seen these in Caps-Flyers-Pens fans. It's just so incredibly stupid. Only thing worse are the 69 jerseys. Basically pure woman repellent, FYI gents.

nothing like antagonizing the home fans. when you wear crap like that you best expect a possible beat down

Toronto enters tonight with 206 man games lost to injury. A pittance compared to the 313 lost by Detroit.

Nolan?s contract extention very close to done

Ted Nolan is still the Sabres interim head coach. A source close to the negotations told news 4 sports Lauren Brill that Nolan’s contract extention is very close to getting done, which would eliminate the interim tag. The source explained that Nolan loves the players and is excited for the challenge ahead. There has been talk of a contract in the works for several weeks, the source explaining that upon Pat LaFontaine’s departure Nolan wanted to acquaint himself with his new coworkers and make sure the Sabres are a good fit for him. Money was not a driving factor in Nolan’s decision-making process, per source.

According to the source deal probably won’t be announced this week, as the team is on the road.

I really like this decision to keep Nolan. Can't imagine the team if he didn't want to stick around...

Roy is such a liar....

Roy also recalled being frustrated by a separate incident from the same night, when late-arriving teammate Vincent Damphousse was not disciplined by Tremblay prior to the Detroit game.

"Mario, I thought he was tough on me...I thought he was trying to send messages by being tougher on me. And I always thought that as a coach you need to be fair, and on that day I thought that Vinny was privileged.

"He came in late because he slept in, and I just felt that was unfair to the team. Everybody has their opinion, everybody has their thinking about how things could have happened that night, and let's leave the past where it is."

Oh how I don't miss his antics at all

Though, Dolan, during the 2011 season tried to come into the locker room before playoff games and act like he cared for the team. Like dude, who the fuck are you kidding?

Interesting list.

What would be even more interesting would be if someone other than me (waaaayyyy too lazy) would put that list relative to the avg. price of season tickets for each team. You may not get as much stuff with the Islanders in 30th, but their tickets are damn-sure cheaper than the Rangers at 29th.

From the link in 43's post:

Columbus Blue Jackets: The Jackets host two meet and greet events, one at their arena and another at the local zoo.

So you can see Jared Boll both at the rink as well as in his natural habitat :noidea:

Kudos to the Sharks for a great gesture by actually signing this fan to a one day contract and involving him in all the pre-game festivities :thumb:
