DarrenDreger: Schneider says players would like to see more interference allowed to slow game down. Removal of trapezoid to relieve pressure on D-men...

Man, that's a slippery slope to dead puck era clutch-and-grab hockey. Do not want.

Scotty Bowman in the cesspool was talking about removing the trapezoid but penalizing goalies if they make a direct pass out to a teammate over/beyond the blue line from behind the net/goal line :noidea:

In other words "old slow forwards, and every Dman, would like to stop being burned by the likes of Sidney Crosby, Patrick Kane, Corey Perry, and John Tavares."

I guess you didn't read the last page when I said you guys had more depth than us and had your 3rd and 4th line outwork us most of the series. I guess you only read what you want.

Last time I ever congratulate a Devil or fan of theirs for anything. Thank you for proving that, again. :L

And please, you played a shitty and fluky Panthers team in round 1 and then a shit Flyers team in round 2, who with Bryz, couldn't stop a beachball. :laugh3:

The same Flyers team that outplayed the Penguins in the first round was a shitty team? Why did it take 7 games for the Rangers to beat the Sens and Caps? Come on with argument, seriously

If you consider giving up 4 or more goals a game, a good series then so be it. Neither of those teams played well, that was an awful series from both goaltenders. Flyers just got a little more than the Pens did from there. I guess giving up 4 goals a game and winning 5-4 or 7-6 is good hockey. :noidea:

You don't seem to understand or grasp at the fact that the Rangers were a defensive minded team, it's like beating a dead horse how many times I need to say it in here. Plus, both Holtby and Anderson played out of their minds against us and were the reasons both series went 7. Oh and for the fifth time today, WE DIDN'T SCORE GOALS.

Whoa... Rangers were not a defensive minded team. Block anything coming to the net ≠ defensive minded

I'm just throwing this out there, but how about putting the red line "back in" (i.e. no more two line passes from your own zone over the red line). I think at first it was thought that it will open up the game, but I think the reality is it does the opposite. Besides, having to make teams make that extra pass leads to more mistakes/turnovers and more scoring chances.

Just my :2cents:

So did people change their feelings about Kovalchuk while I was gone tilo? I think we called that

I think only one poster is still defending him. Same one that says we should trade Marty and Jagr

lol - It would be a tough change after so many years of permitting two-line passes, definitely. I don't want to see more interference in the game, though.

Eh, its more like "stop taking away Marty's tools!"

Seriously still? After the position Kovy left us in. Since the no y deal we lost major players that drove our team as well as our heart and work ethic. How could you possibly make a case for him
