when you dig deeper the career numbers arent all that far away from Bobby Lous and you dont see anyone proclaiming Bobby Lou the "greatest goaltender on earth" (at least not in the past 5 or 6 years anyways)

398 more shots against in his career than Bobby Lou ... thats just over 0.75 more shots per game (over 500 games) ... big whoop

0.002 better save percentage than Bobby lou ... thats a difference of 30 goals (over 15000 shots faced) ... big whoop again

This makes sense - Roberto got scrutinized for his failures with the Canucks but at least he got that team to game 7 of the finals - and the Western Conference was tougher than the East as well

And Roberto played on a mediocre Panthers team for a while as well - even on some of the Rangers teams King Henrik played on that were bubble playoff teams, all those teams were better than those Panthers teams

No argument here, I love Luongo. Wish he would have a Cup as well, should have beat the Bruins.

That Ranger team overachieved and if you think anything different of it, you're clue less. We scored plenty of goals before? That team got as far as they did, because of Hank, that PP was god awful, there was no scoring depth. That team overachieved and it showed in that Devils series, we weren't as deep as them, and the 3rd and 4th line proved it. I'm not blaming Hank for that series, he stole 2 games, he did what he could, that team couldn't score for shit.

Guy has made the Cup once and now ''HE'S THE BEST THERE IS''? All homer aside, you can't be serious. Put Hank in front of that defense and with that offense and they would be a dynasty. Hank has never played with an offense in the top 10 in scoring, always bottom 15 of the league. It's finally changing this year and he's on pace, again, to win 30 games.

Marcus, remind me who is the only goalie to ever win 30 or more games in his first 8+ seasons? Is it Quick? Nope, don't think so, that would be KING HENRIK. Add that to his Gold and Silver medal as well, along with Vezina Trophy and the Cup that will come in the next 2-3 years.

How did the Rangers overachieve if they were the number one seed in the East? If they got knocked out in the first or second round I guarantee you that you would be complaining that they choked - but since they got deep, it's okay to say the overachieved? The Devils were not a better team than the Rangers, they finished SIXTH in the East in the regular season, the Rangers should have taken care of business in that series and they didn't - with a defense of McDonagh, Girardi, Marc Staal, etc etc that's a way better defense than what the Devils were trotting out there - so no, that was not an over-achievement

Jonathan Quick has only been in the league for what, 5 or 6 full seasons? Henrik is in his 9th full season, so of course he's going to pile up numbers

What about Jonathan Quick and the offense he plays behind? That offense is the absolute fucking worst in the regular season and you're trying to tell me that Henrik Lundqvist plays behind a Rangers team that has never had a good offense? Look at all the 1-0 and 2-0 shutout wins Jonathan Quick has had in the last few years - he plays behind an offense that is putrid for 3/4ths of the season and still racks up a bunch of shutouts - and he has the most playoff wins in the last two seasons, with 25 - Henrik Lundqvist probably has what, maybe 5-6 or more playoff wins than him in his entire career, combined? Jonathan Quick has 7 shutouts in the playoffs the last three seasons, 44 playoff games total - so 16% of his playoff wins the last three seasons are shutouts, which is about one every six or seven games or so that he gets a shutout - that's impressive

I said it all season long they overachieved, I never saw us being higher tha a 5 seed. They played better than EVERYBODY said/thought they would. That system took a toll out on them, 2 series in a row go 7, they were worn down by time they got to the Devils, it's one of the main reasons Torts had to go.

LOL you must not watch Hank or the Rangers at all, and you're digging a deeper and deeper hole for yourself. The Rangers offense hasn't been higher than 14 more than once in the last 9 years. But the goals against have been in the top 10 all 9 years since Hank has taken over. So please, just stop, you're fighting a lost battle here. Hank has never played with any top offense or one that would give him 3 goals a game, only one season he has. The rest, they've been near the bottom. So when I say Hank, had to carry this team, i'm correct and the stats back me up.

And since you bring up that 2011-2012 team, Hank give up 1.82 goals a game, so remind me how those series were his faults. just stop.

It goes back to a convo I had with Johnny last week - Is King Henrik in the top echelon of NHL goalies? Without question. I just have a problem when certain pundits/announcers refer to him as the best goaltender in the world because the numbers and results paint a different picture. The good news is that he still has time to improve those numbers and change people's minds.

Hes hot now, this is the time he has to and will turn it up if we wanna make a long run into June. I have faith in my goalie, always have and always will. The rest of the team needs to step up and support him, like they have this season.

Those series were his fault because the expectation is for him to play like that when the game really matters and he didn't, so he's the guy that everyone's going to look at - not a difficult concept to understand

But you're acting like his GAA's was in the 3's. It was 1.82, blame the offense, or what little there was for not scoring. That was a defensive system, you don't seem to get that. That team was never built on offense, they wanted to win 1-0 games. Take it from me who watched EVERY game that season. They would get a 1-0 lead and then stop pushing or pressing for more. They sat back and tried to play D, it was the reason for their failues that year. Hank did all he can, not his fault the offense didn't step up.

Kings were a better team that post-season, better offense, just a notch up on defense. We would have lost in the Cup finals anyways. probably swept, our team was exhausted.

I guess you didn't read the last page when I said you guys had more depth than us and had your 3rd and 4th line outwork us most of the series. I guess you only read what you want.

Last time I ever congratulate a Devil or fan of theirs for anything. Thank you for proving that, again. :L

And please, you played a shitty and fluky Panthers team in round 1 and then a shit Flyers team in round 2, who with Bryz, couldn't stop a beachball. :laugh3:

Until he wins The Cup he'll still only be queen henrietta

kidding aside he's certainly one of the top 5 goalies active today but I don't think he's earned the king title except perhaps back home for his team Sweden exploits

that might be The King of poor excuses.

Yep.... I mean its not like that last month and a half of the regular season was an extended playoff for the 5-8 seeds or anything

I'll keep saying this. Torts wasn't the Rangers problem. Nor is Hank. The Rangers front office is the problem
