The Vancouver Canucks and Tambellini decided to fall back on nepotism for their final pick of the draft (round 7 - 191st overall). With the "throw-away pick", Tambellini selected the son of team goalie coach Ian Clark ... Morgan Clark ... and passed on drafting the son of the Canucks Sports and Entertainment vice president of contruction who was also a goalie. A local vancouver boy, that young man had, at the age of 12, been part of a minor-hockey team that got to warm up with the Canucks before their annual skills competition ...
