Sens squeak one out against the Pans. Now with points in 5 straight.

Sure is nice to be playing Leastern teams after that brutal start to the season.

6-0-2 against the East. 1-6-2 against the west .

Hey Bryz, are you looking forward to having these guys in front of you?

Petry
Ference
Belov
Schultz
Larsen
Fedun

My goodness, that's awful considering the high draft picks the Oilers have had (and I'm not talking just the 1st overall picks either).

Yup... Even if they just used all their second round (31-37) picks on D in the last few years they SHOULD have at least a few promising young D-men.

It's just horrible asset management and planning. The thing is that it doesn't matter that they've started investing in the D (Nurse). Because D-men take longer to develop anyone they draft now is unlikely to peak while all their #1 overall picks are still around/affordable.

Lowe needs to go. That rhymes Marge. You know it rhymes. Admit it!!

2 Shots on goal for the Jackets in the first period.

Second verse, same as the first!

Mike Smith got a penalty tonight for playing the puck beyond center ice as he was leaving b/c of an upcoming penalty. Never seen that called before.

Honestly - it's ridiculous the number and specificity of some of the rules in the NHL. It's a sign of a poorly managed sports league.

HA!

Jackets figured out two things tonight;
To score, you have to shoot.
And when you shoot from in front of the net, you have a better chance. They were not caught beneath the goal line at all.

They win it 5-2, with the most notable difference being when Chaput shot it at his own goalie :-)L), Bob made the save! Bob even got an assist on an Empty Netter.

Pretty decent move by Richards, he jumbled the lines.
Dubinski - Johansen - Atkinson was the top line. I hope he keeps it together because those three guys give a shit. Maybe I will call it the "Give a Shit" line (GAS line for short). RyJo, emerging as the Jackets' best player, had a goal and two helpers.
Umberger - Anisimov - Gaborik. Gaborik looked interested, and had some spark. I hope they put Foligno on that line and move Umberger to work with the Test Tube. Although Umby did get one tonight.

Bad luck for the Caps tonight.

Grabovski accidentally puts it over his own glass with 2 minutes left and it leads to a PP goal. Coyotes tie the game 3-3 with only a buck forty-five left.

Sucks - Caps have thoroughly this Monopoly-money franchise tonight.

It's the "Night of Highly Technical Penalties" in Phoenix. Penalties for...

D-man closing hand on the puck in own zone
Goalie playing the puck past center ice
Delay of game for accidentally flipping it over your own glass
Using a hand during a face off

2 for each team - these are all largely useless penalties.
