I thought Columbus would be a much improved team this year and make the playoffs. But boy do they look like crap tonight. Long season though - maybe they just haven't gelled yet.

They looked pretty bad tonight. There's been a question of what the team identity will be and unfortunately it looks like it's two-fold.
1) Make really bad passes - especially in their zone
2) Make whatever goalie you are against look 45% better. This is a problem when they face really good ones like Holtby and Price. They made Gustavsson look like the second coming of Brodeur. Gus is good. He's not that good.

Nikitin flat out SUCKED tonight. 2 giveaways that led to goals, that gem up there and another terrible pass that Bob saved his ass on. Might be time for Niki to sit a game or two. Problem is; Prout's hurt. I'd call up Golubef.

There's still bright spots, like Johansen being a beast, Atkinson seeming healthy and Jenner and Murray playing very well and improving every day. Plus this is the first run through the new conference. A bit of a learning curve.
