Saw Caps' owner Ted Leonsis this evening in an interview and did a "holy shit." The guy pulled a Jarrod. Lost just a ton of weight in the last year or so. Here's Ted before...

...and Ted now...

He lost a full Ovechkin.

Well this is interesting.....

Why do the Sabres, who play the Penguins tonight in Pittsburgh, need another goalie?
Matt Hackett left the Blue Cross War Memorial on Friday with his equipment following Rochester’s ugly 8-1 loss to Grand Rapids and has been recalled, the Democrat and Chronicle’s Kevin Oklobzija reported.

Tough night for Reimer. 4 goals allowed, get yanked and now the Leafs crowd is chanting Bernier's name.

Damn, the Blues are winning 7-0 over the Panthers, and 7 different players have scored a goal.

Not a good night for Timmah.

Very entertaining one with the Sens/Leafs. get the feeling a lot of games in that division will be like that this year...except if they involve Florida

They discussed making it illegal, but the NHLPA voted to keep it in. I don't like the spin-a-rama move, but it is effective.

/Imagine pulling that move on Ron Hextall? You would see a skirmish during the shootout.

Yeah, but the rule still is that the puck must continue in a forward motion. That one did not.

They need to get a handle on that rule, because it is very inconsistently enforced. I still think that an illegal shootout goal cost the Jackets at least one point that would have put them in the playoffs last year. Maybe two.

That's true, but I've seen guys (Datsyuk immediately comes to mind) who have pulled the puck backwards on their dirty dangle shootout goals.

/I never had a problem with the game ending in a tie, I know we'll never go back to that though.
