In the spirit of the above conversation I'm just gonna post this pic and allow anarchy to happen.

Job security for a rebuild and he doesn't have to live in another hellscape. I can't blame him. It's a gutsy move choosing LA over Buffalo from a hockey talent perspective.

Before any of the playoffs start Good Luck.
Cheers! Good luck. Not expecting a lot this year, but always hopeful.
I think the Stanley Cup finalist from the East is likely coming from the Atlantic.
I'm not going to argue that Buffalo is some glorious oasis (I moved away after all), but fuck LA.Job security for a rebuild and he doesn't have to live in another hellscape. I can't blame him.
There's also a chance he interviewed with Buffalo and didn't see his views lining up with Botterill's.
But man, LA's roster needs some serious work. Blake will get a lot of praise if he can somehow polish this team up in a year or two.
I've never been to LA but to be fair after the winters we've been having the last few years I'd probably call Toronto a hellscape during hockey season at this point.I'm not going to argue that Buffalo is some glorious oasis (I moved away after all), but fuck LA.
(Not specific to hockey) I'd go to OC, I'd go to the Bay Area, I'd even go to *shudder* Sacramento, but I sure as fuck would never move to LA.
As for hockey reasons, I don't blame anyone for staying away from the tire fire in Buffalo.

I mean, minus the earthquake it sounds like Toronto.LA is a great place to visit, even for an extended period of time, but it's a fucking miserable place to live. Crowded, polluted, takes fucking forever to get anywhere, former meth houses with dead bodies still inside cost a mil +, and you are always potentially seconds away from an Earthquake or riot.
I’m with ya, Brother. Though born in MI and raised in Pittsburgh, most of my duty stations have been in the South. When in the South, they get on me for my “Yankee” accent. But when back home in Pittsburgh, they get on me for my southern accent.Slightly off topic. My brother in Kamloops swears I sound "Southern". I have no idea what he is talking about. But I do say y'all on a regular basis. And the locals mock me for saying "hoose" and "aboot".
