Calgary's got quite the team there, if they get the goaltending I could see them winning the West in the playoffs.

Jonathan Quick is don't heppy.

Around the 20 second mark. From the locker room/hallway he yelled loud enough to be heard by the ice level mics.

What's the kids issue?
Consensus I've heard is that he wants to play for a team with a shitty D so that he can jump right in to a top 4 role.

Since both Calgary and Carolina are already stacked with talent and/or prospects, word is he doesn't want to be there. NYR seems to be the leading candidate because a) their D pool is shitty and b) he grew up a Rangers fan.

Even NYR isn't that great a fit though unless they can move Shattenkirk. Anthony DeAngelo really broke out the second half of the season and while he hasn't been great I don't think they're ready to give up on Pionk just yet, especially if they can create more room for him in the lineup by moving Shattenkirk. Regardless he would still be a RD3 there.

The Devils might be a better match.

What I find dumb is that everyone saw what happened with Vesey and Waddell was still willing to take Fox as a chip in a deal despite there clearly being signing issues. After this season all he's going to have to show for a point-per-game forward and a top 4 D is Dougie Hamilton and (probably) a third round pick.

At least he absolutely robbed Minny for Nino I guess.

Yeah, I don't know if guys like LeBrun are giving too much weight to the NYR fandom element or if it's with the expectation they move Shattenkirk.

Maybe it's the Tavares effect where we think everyone's going to do that now.

Would you take Shat if the Rags eat half? I'd probably take a $3.4 mil Shat. I think he'd still be pretty good in the right situation - away from the top pairing, put with a great stay at home guy. Muzzin-Shattenkirk as a second pair sounds pretty fun to me.

If the trade price came in low enough, I'd take him at full price. He'd definitely be an upgrade on our pathetic blue line. Salary is too high, but we're not right up against it and he's only got two years left.

This sounds exactly like Mike Reilly except he grew up in Minny, so he wanted to go there.

They dumped him in a year for a fifth rounder.

Saw the comments Doughty made about the state of the Kings as well. Seems like things are going to get worse there before they get better.

Most impressed I've been with the Habs all year..... Maybe a couple years

Yeah, I know it'll end horribly, but the effort tonight was superb
