What I was able to find is that somebody on the Panthers bench (most are pointing the finger at Shawn Thornton) said something along the lines of "3-on-3 OT with the Sedins ends up like Rick Rypien"

The thing is, we don't know exactly what was said, but I think it had to be pretty harsh for either of the Sedin boys to react in the manner that they did.
