You know what, why not make the Winter Classic the All-Star game? The host team plays a collection of All-Stars from the other 29 teams. You can still have the skills competition at the regular arena. What do you think?

They should revive the 'battle of the network stars' format and do that for the all star game. It would be great to see the NHL stars competing in foot races, the obstacle course, tug-o-war, and Simon Says.

I think that's a terrific idea. If they are going to play on shitty ice at least make it a meaningless game.
