Oh great so the ice today in Boston was described as "soft and dangerous". NHL can we please get more of these games? Sure they are slow and sloppy and viewed from far away at bad angles - but the atmosphere!

Laing, a Boston Beaut, was hurt in a corner and stretchered off...same corner the NHL guys had complained about post-practice.

What form of sorcery does Shane Doan use to make people think he's not a dirty player? He's a great leader because he stayed in the desert, perhaps? I've found listening to more broadcast guys that it's a nauseating mentality league wide to support stupid displays of truculence. "Well, that hit motivated the team! Who cares if it was from behind and concussed a guy!"

I've noticed a theme in some of the OTs. One team gets the puck and cycles it for a while, then when they try to score if its turned over the other team needs a change.
