Sources say Flyers have signed Del Zotto to one year deal
Yep, done deal. Timmonen will have a minimum of 6 months of treatment for the blood clots, so it's likely he is done for the season. I expect he will retire now. No point taking chances with something like this.
I hope he does, and not for hockey reasons. That stuff is scary as all get out. The fact that he had a few in the lungs is just...nope. Don't risk it man. Going to have to be on blood thinners for awhile, and even after that the risk remains high. Stroke and pulmonary embolism. He's had a very good career, I just hope that he knows that and can keep things in perspective. I feel the same way about Vokoun. Didn't really want him pushing it after that diagnosis last year.
Stars owner Tom Gaglardi was convicted of violating Canadian federal environmental laws Thursday, but he was reportedly distracted by something else during his trial.
Gaglardi was found guilty on two counts of harmful alteration of fish habitat in Kamloops provincial court in Kamloops, British Columbia.
Although he was on trial, Gaglardi reportedly had other things on his mind, including his hockey team over 2,000 miles away.
Kamloops This Week reported that during the trial, Gaglardi spent much of his time working in a notebook "alternating between notes on the proceedings, Northland business and what appeared to be line combinations for the Dallas Stars."
The report also said Gaglardi was asked to turn his iPhone off multiple times by sheriffs and at one point concealed his phone in his notebook.

8 year old boy goes swimming with his brother, and finds Elmer Lach's lost stanley cup ring from 1946.
Was the Lach ness monster holding onto it all these years?
Was he trying to punch his teammate?
