Flyers defenseman Kimmo Timonen has been diagnosed with blood clots in his lower right leg and in both lungs. Kimmo is currently being treated for this disorder back in his home country of Finland. His return to play is yet to be determined.

Here's hoping for a fast recovery for Timmo (although you wonder if this might just be the end, he's not exactly a young guy anymore).

I worked for a company that hired Cherry for a marketing campaign. I cut his cheque, addressed to him personally, and the address wasn't on Mississauga Road (I forget which street it was now, but it wasn't anything impressive).

I don't think there's any chance on earth Cherry could afford the house in question. That's at least a $10 million home.

Like I said, I did know once-upon-a-time where he lived, and it was indeed an 80s new build that isn't any different from thousands upon thousands of homes built in the GTA the past quarter-century.

As for him being able to afford the house, I don't know. I'm sure Cherry's got money, guy does a lot of advertising in addition to HNIC, but $12 million seems like a stretch, and even if he did have that, the house originally sold for $2.1 million in the late 90s and is massive. Just furnishing that sucker would probably cost half a mil. But maybe.
