When it rains, it pours. :L

Leafs 4th goal, Jackets stopped thinking it was offside. It wasn't.

5th - Leafs had nine guys on the ice. Savard standing at the attacking blueline unaware the puck got through him, and Komarov jumped off the far end of the bench and got all the way to the other blueline before anyone contacted him (they missed) and he had a clean breakaway on Bob. 9 Leafs on ice, 5 Jackets. 4 of the Jackets had their arms up in disgust.

Hey, fuckuts - PLAY TIL YOU HEAR A WHISTLE! Oh, yeah, that whistle you heard WAS A GOAL.

"Hey Todd, did you notice the too many men thing?"

Well, at least Goloubef and Murray looked good together. Jackets got some pressure at times.

Congrats Leafs on your first win. Try not to beat up on the special kids as bad next time.

Best part of the night? Hartnell's 600th NHL point. Jody Shelley, at ice level between the benches told him it was and he had no idea. Johansen heard the chatter and went and told the Linesman to give him the puck.

Good guy, that Johansen. I hope he gets to play for an NHL team someday.

Oops I'm in trouble. The announcer just said a shot was high and wide and I said to my wife "wasn't that your college nickname?"

Hey comeds, can you confirm if there is a woman in the stands at the MTS Centre wearing a glow-in-the-dark dildo? Seated to the right of Ramo.

From your mouth to God's ears. No emotion even after Foligno's goal. Nothing.

I like Clarkson in this game. He's paid entirely too much, but we're not the morons that signed him for that much. We just traded for him, so like half morons. Huge improvement over Boll.

He is really annoying the shit out of Phaneuf.

Hard to say. Dano and Anisimov could be useful. Karlsson is not as good as Wennberg (not even close) and Anisimov's prowess in the faceoff dot would be useful right about now because Karlsson is so far over his head. And Richards is using Saad on the point on the power play, so he's not hitting his potential, IMO.

All things being equal, I prefer Saad, but that trade doesn't really affect the Jackets fortunes at the moment.

Johnson needs to be benched. He has just been brutal. If he passed to the Blue Jackets with the efficiency he passes to opponents, he'd be deadly. If he gets more than 15 minutes a night, we're going to fail.

Take nothing away from the Leafs. Playing uptempo, good forecheck, taking away time AND Reimer (yeah, I said that right) has been outstanding.

Want Scuds? Trade him and for Johnson straight up. Actually...maybe not, Scuds is gone one year sooner.

What's up with Anaheim? 4 games played so far and just 1 goal, not good for a team with Getzlaf and Perry.

Regression to the mean since the last lockout. All the advanced stats said it would come and now it has. Ducks do probably have a decent Corsi this season however.

Is Sprong expected to stay up with the Pens?

I'm hoping the answer is yes. I don't want him back in the Q, especially where he plays in my team's division.

I am thinking/hoping he is. Nothing they would bring up would be better than him.

I've shot pucks on Kevin Weekes. He's a lovely fellow, but I think I prefer Tugnutt's body of work. It's close though, looking at it now Weekes had a better career than I remembered him having.
I ran into him once. Nice enough. Plugged his clothing line or something.

How about a package deal? Johnson, Bourque, Boll, Clarkson and Todd Richards for Maata and Scuds.

I heart Jody Shelley.

On the 8 men on the ice / let's just quit goal, Rimer was calling the play and when Komarov got off the bench and went to the puck and no one on the Jackets went with him, his mic went silent. I imagine he hit the mute button and started screaming. After the goal was scored he came back on and sounded... defeated.

And for those of you who think I am being hyperbolic in picking on Richards, here he is after Bob got scored on from the blue line.

That "gulp" is the most emotion he showed at all last night.
