All the best to Eugene Melnyk and his family, hope they can find a suitable donor.

Bang up job once again with the scheduling NHL. 1 o'clock game on a Saturday in May for the team with the biggest media market in the league? Bravo, you really thought that one through. I'm sure everyone is blowing off their Saturday plans and ignoring the perfect weather to watch this game. Then you follow it up with a 3 o'clock game on a Sunday! Brilliant!

This will help the league grow right? After all the moves to the non hockey markets are to increase the fanbase and therefore dollars. So they showcase one of their biggest teams at a time when nobody will be watching TV.

Preakness Stakes are on so they got NBC'ed.

Why that prevents them from a nighttime start I have no idea, but...

There is NO reason on earth that ANA-CHI did not start last night. Or at worst, tonight.

Idiots.

I always feel lucky this time of year. When you guys are ignoring the Preakness from afar, because I am local I get to ignore it from close by.

If game 1 of the ECF goes into OT, it might be pre-empted for the running of the Preakness...

/Not like that hasn't happened before (lol)

On May 19, 2007, during the Stanley Cup playoffs, NBC angered many fans and journalists when it pre-empted coverage of the overtime period of the tied Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Ottawa Senators and Buffalo Sabres, instead going directly to pre-race coverage of the Preakness Stakes horse race. A typical "Triple Crown" horse racing broadcast generally contains about two hours of pre-race coverage, with the actual races lasting two or three minutes. Coverage of the overtime period was shifted to Versus,[87] the league's cable partner, although viewers in Buffalo and Rochester were able to continue watching the game on local NBC affiliates in the respective markets, WGRZ and WHEC-TV.

I think the Rangers will win in regulation. MSG is a tough place for road teams. Just hope they put on a good show
