I found that a little odd. The Tank isn't a new arena I'm not sure they are going to like that lease near the end.

Fans would be beyond pissed if they decided to build a new arena - the Shark Tank is their baby

Right but the lease is an extension lasting though 2026 (with year to year options until 2040). It will be a 33 year old arena by the end of the extension and a 47 years old by the time the year to year runs out (which I doubt will happen).

I guess 33 years isn't too bad for an arena, I just saw that the Saddle dome is ten years older and they are still rocking it.

Likely for not too much longer though (if they ever decide to get off their butts and get some shovels in the ground). I think the Flames will likely be playing at the Dome for at least another five years.

You shut your whore mouth. We're looking to ship aging players out of San Jose not bring them in. We should only be interested in young playoff failures.

LET THE WHORE TALK DAMMIT!

So, how much money is Matt Beleskey padding his bank account with on July 1st?

slim pickings in the ufa market ... but lots of teams up against it ... heard a few "experts" say the ufa dmen will get overpaid but not the forwards

i put him in the same category as how you described Maroon previously ... its pretty good for him in anaheim

If we're being honest with ourselves here though, aren't we shocked every year how much various UFAs are getting paid?

Plenty of teams will do plenty of stupid things again this year.

Put it this way, I'd rather have Matt Beleskey than Mason Raymond.

Any news on any coaching vacancies for any of the teams? I think teams may be waiting for the Babcock and Mclellan domino to fall but are there any names out there for other teams looking for a coach?
?

In case people are link adverse, Josh Harding is likely to retire this off-season. Tough luck for a good guy and I wish him all he best going forward.
I wish him all the best.

Yeah, playing with Getzlaf & Perry has been great for Maroon. He had a hard time making the Flyers roster. Now he's a 1st line winger.
