Jim Rutherford was super candid in his presser today. Interesting stuff. First move I'd make? Re-sign Cole. DO IT. QUICKLY.

Depends on the amount. If he's expecting more than 1.5 per... thanks, but no thanks. I hope they resign Chorney. And I hope guys like him, Dum and Harrington break camp with the top club. Gotta see what they have with the youngins.

If they buyout/move/send Scuds to Siberia:

Letang-Maatta
Pouliot-Cole
Lovejoy-Dumolin
Harrington

As encouraging as Chorney's play in the Rangers series was...he's 28 with 68 games of NHL experience.

Is this really a surprise though? He's not there for the long run, he can be as openly honest about anything and not worry about his job status long term

Once upon a time, I wanted Morgan Fairchild. Ain't looking good for either one of us

Never cared much for Charles Nelson Rielly though.

(Is it throwback Thursday yet?)

I guess I'll have to settle for Captain Morgan.

So Bozak will be in Calgary soon?

Sorry, Dash. Pix, you get Phaneuf instead. Need defensive depth to avoid a repeat of these playoffs. Phaneuf is the best at winning playoff rounds.

*immediately hangs phone up* Honestly not sure why I fielded this call. Oh, right, Kessel rumors. *calls again* As the Pens fake GM representative, I'd like to inquire about the availability of JvR or Kadri. Move quickly though, Sutter and Scuds won't be on the market long!
