And San Jose. He would make bonehead mistakes defensively from time to time and loved to shoot high and wide but he was a hell of a skater. It made him very effective moving the puck on the breakout.

I tend to like the guys who make big mistakes very occasionally better than the guys who make little mistakes every single time they're on the ice.

I liked Ehrhoff in Buffalo. Were it not for the huge future cap recapture risk on his contract (thanks again Darcy) I understand why they needed to do the buyout, but I would have liked to keep him otherwise.

things really went into the crapper once Wilson commented on Big Joe being stripped of the C. I made note to remember that day if they missed. I think that took a lot out of the team then.

The whole offseason was such a head-scratcher.

What's interesting to think of is how different things might have ended up if Vlasic had not gotten injured and they'd won one more game against the Kings.

I want the Devils to get the best draft position possible but I also don't want the Rangers to get the President's trophy against them tonight. Tough rooting decisions. I guess I'll root for a Devils victory.

Go for the draft pick at this point, this game is not relevant other than going for the highest draft pick possible
