Do you remember anything about his game? I've never really seen him play.

He's a good distributor of the puck and had a nice streak going for about 10 games last season where he had about an assist per game in that stretch - he's a solid option on a 3rd or 4th line and he's still young and developing so he might be something for them

He's definitely a serviceable player, he won't dazzle you with a skill set like Perron. A solid meat-and-potatoes kind of guy.

Edit: Hey, he attended Yale, so he's gotta be a thinking man's player.

Oh good, he can replace our other Ivy Leaguer.

Seems consistent with what I've read then. Decent skill, works hard, can put up some points, with a downside of being quite little.

Yeah, I don't expect him to be Perron, of course, but it's good to have another worker with some skill for the bottom six.

 When I read dash's comment, the exact same phrase popped into my head.

Trading a third round pick for Dubnyk - dare I say that's a bold move?

The Coyotes traded the wrong goalie esls:

Mike Smith - 3.52 GAA, 0.885 SV%

Devan Dubnyk - 2.72 GAA, 0.916 SV%

/Or maybe it's no honour for Connor

Also, if Dubnyk can get a 3rd round pick, I gotta believe Ramo is worth a 2nd round pick or prospect since Ramo > Dubnyk.

#Ducks expect to make Matt Beleskey a healthy scratch vs #Leafs tonite. He leads team in scoring with 17. He also is a pending #NHL UFA

Could Beleskey be on the trading block?

Also, a couple of tweets from Bobby Mac:

Maloney has gotten instructions to cut payroll and to go into full rebuild. Mentions that Vermette will be moved

Vermette will fetch a decent return because 2nd line centres who are good on faceoffs are highly wanted.

Apparently Phoenix has traded Devan Dubnyk to the Wild for a 3rd rounder.

Hmm... I a little bit of doubt that Dubnyk is going to lead the Wild to the Cup. But the implications for the trade market are HUGE with Dubnyk off the market.

Kenny, those are some large-ass dominoes.

You bet!! This move will turn out to be similarly massive!!

It's an arms race and the Wild just showed they're serious. I think other Western teams can only hope to not fall TOO far behind the Wild after this blockbuster.

Wild have three games left against the Oilers this season and Dubnyk better be the starter in those.

By that logic McIlhenny can get...

A nice hockey bag. One with wheels.

Brodeur seems to be done with the Blues?
taking a week to ponder his future.

I *really* wonder what he thought would come of this stint with them. Did he think he'd magically play his way into being the starter, lead them into the playoffs like a knight on his stead? If so, he's the only one...because everyone else was screaming "tarnished legacy".

He wanted to go somewhere away from his wife so he could get with another one of her sisters?
