Hey - these are the games they need to be successful in if you want the entire NHL to take notice. Fortunately for the Isles, Crosby and Malkin won't be going up against AMac, Streit, Ness, Strait or any of the past 'defensemen' they've plugged into the roster.

Oh and get better Pascal. Terrible news.

I'll be happy if they can get a split.

To bad to hear about Dupuis, best wishes to him for sure.

Roman Cervenka has the same issues a couple of years ago with the Flames and he's still playing in the KHL, so hopefully the blood thinners will do the trick and Pascal will be back with the Penguins in short order.

It's the age of Duper that worries me. We'll see, but the thought of having seen his last game already is pretty depressing. Especially since he was already on blood thinners when this occurred.

Ron Hextall can be heard screaming from changing room. "That's f---ing embarrassing! Jesus f---ing Christ!" and slammed door.

TSN "talent" has been very edgy the past 24 hours (see Aaron Ward) lol ... didnt take long for ONeil to respond

Hope_Smoke ‏@Hope_Smoke 26s27 seconds ago

I don't know if I'd call O'Neill a moron. He relates to a specific part of the sports viewing audience. Plays that role well.

Hope Smoke's a reactionary dipshit. O'Neill's a full-time dipshit.

What did Wardo do? Appears it was something Oilers-related but he deleted?

Hahaha yeah I'm all for that. Don't have much against Ward, he seems like a knowledgable-enough guy. Especially compared to some idiots.

Wardo is looking pretty good so far with his pre-season prediction of the Flames making the playoffs. Now he was probably just looking to stir the pot and it's still early, but maybe Calgary can steal a page from the Avalanche playbook of a year ago.

/You know it's burning Oilers fans seeing this type of success from the Flames.

No surprise, with Bill Peters as the head coach there

There's gonna be all sorts of topsy-turmoil before this season's ova. The refs aren't having nearly the same effects on deciding games, as the season progresses - some teams are even winning almost without scoring, and are piling up great penalty kill stats simultaneously.

just another example of the buffoonery that is ken holland. Instead of waving a deadweight veteran with absolutely no upside aka dan cleary, they waive a young guy who could actually amount to something

I don't like the sounds of this. I guess we'll see how the kids on the Senators hold up in the next little while.

Senators face challenge of playing league?s best teams | Ottawa Citizen

Beginning Thursday with the Nashville Predators — the NHL’s most surprising team — the Senators will face a steady stream of the league’s top squads for the upcoming three weeks.

The Senators’ next 10 opponents have a combined record of 113-49-17. Six of the games are on the road. The stretch also includes three pairs of back-to-back games.
