The good news is that the Reverend will be back just in time to perform Xmas Mass...

I can read his lips. He's not praying.

Bruce-y Boo lets the ref know what he thinks of the embellishment call on Vatanen.

Leon Draisaitl is sticking around in Edmonton. The 19-year-old rookie will play his 10th game of the season against the Nashville Predators on Wednesday night. Had Draisaitl been sent back to his junior club after playing nine games or less, the first year of his rookie deal would have been preserved to next season.

I don't see any way this can go wrong.

So, with all the injuries, the fans have been elevated.

@TSNBobMcKenzie: No supplementary discipline expected for NYR Chris Kreider for his hit last night on MIN's Jonas Brodin. He received 5-minute major and GM.

Not even a fine?

I dunno. Even as a bias Isles fan, I think the penalty and game was enough.

Kreider is a reckless player who will eventually get his due.

We have Carolina in there twice, and Toronto once. I hope Forsberg sees some NHL time.

I've seen him the last few years at dev camp and training camp and just can't figure him out. Seems pretty unorthodox. But he's had success along the way. Would love to see if he has the chops to make it in the big show.

Jackets really need to figure out which of the three (Dansk, Forsberg, Korpisalo) is the heir apparent. So they can move one or both of the others.

That's a mistake, IMO. While perhaps not malicious, that hit was as reckless as they get.

I don't know if Brodin was hurt or not, but I'm guessing not if they're not even going to look into it.

Head shot = automatic hearing.

Anything else = probably not.

^This

He first made contact on the other side of the goal line from the boards. He had tons of time to stop and not make the hit. No reason for it.

He did leave the game for a bit, but returned. There seems to be some in the camp blaming Brodin for stopping where he did and I think that could be the reason why there's no supplementary discipline.

Hope for the Carolina Team that landed in Calgary last week. They were putrid. My Bro in law and i attended that game . Carolina's players behind the play would literally stop skating. 5 minutes in we could tell the Flames would destroy them , and they did. If half the Hurricanes DIDN'T have the flu , they are in for a brutal season.
