"Mutual of Omaha" presents....."Monsanto presents: the Big Ten"
I'm a pretty big fan of college football in general, and love ending my college football Saturdays with a late night PAC game or two, and I've never noticed them being on. I wasn't trying to jab at the Big 12 with that "meaningless" comment, I just meant that the teams playing were usually the conference bottom feeders (because the better teams are usually on ESPN or whatever else). I could be mistaken, but I don't think I get nearly as many PAC games on that channel as you do. Could it be because you have FS SouthWEST so they figure you're more interested in what is going on out west?
Texas will never allow it.
Not only that, but Rutgers brings the NYC market, which is far more than Kansas can offer.
Yet we're gonna go to KC and get all those folks that are foaming at the mouth for some Jayhawk football.hahahahaha you've never been to new York. Rutgers is in New Jersey, and NYC couldn't care less about college football. Only college sport NYC follows is Big East basketball.
"Mutual of Omaha" presents.....
Like I said, I don't believe so, at least not on a consistent basis. It is possible that I just never noticed before, although I do look for as many games to watch as I can find so I don't think that is likely. If someone else who has FS Midwest wants to jump in here and tell me I'm wrong, that's fine. I'm just trying (and failing) to remember PAC games on that channel.doesn't the pac usually have a late game on Fox sports southwest/Midwest?
I know you've been told different, but Texas doesn't control anybody. If anything Baylor and tech control us, since we can't leave without them.
You would probably attract more viewers for KU basketball in Kansas City than Rutgers football in NYC. That's a moot point though, because it has to do with TV sets not actually who is watching it.Yet we're gonna go to KC and get all those folks that are foaming at the mouth for some Jayhawk football.![]()

Oaknights spells it out perfectly. It isn't about fans, it's about TVs being on.No, it doesn't.
People have been saying this for years, and it's simply not factual. New Yorkers don't care about Rutgers unless they are a graduate. There are more Tar Heels, Buckeyes, Nittany Lions, Blue Devils, and Wolverines in NYC than there are Scarlet Knights.
To counter your point though, KC would be included in the footprint with Kansas, which would be a good add for the Big Ten. Same as Rutgers (in New Jersey) getting the NYC market.

Rutgers to the BIG seems odd really.Rutgers did not deliver any TV market to the league that wasn't already established
