They run a good offense, but kentuckys length on defense will give them the most trouble they have had all season. I see this going the way of the cincinatti game. They'll grind it out for most of the game, but still lose by 20. Kentucky is just too damn good. They don't stan a chance of losing until the final four.

Kentucky is huge. That is a fact. The Irish enter the game 11.5 point underdogs. Fair enough. I believe this game is close until the end. Notre Dame starts heaving up threes at the end and fouling for UK to cover. Maybe...I just remember the last loss for the Cats. UConn's guards made UK's guards look slow. Napier and Boatright were awesome in the Title game. And they were a 7 seed last year. Just because UK has size doesn't mean they keep you from getting to the rim. Connaughton, Grant(both seniors), Vastoria, and Jackson make a four prong guard attack who slash and shoot as well as anybody in the country. Auguste is 6'10" and compliments them well. They have great spacing on the floor. They make you guard them because they have such great shooting prowess. The ACC Champs will give them all they want and then some. Maybe I'm wrong, but you heard it here first.

This thread should just be done with already.

Think about who Kentucky has played. College competition compared to NBA teams (made up of the best former college players) is not ever going to be close. Just because they beat up on smaller, weaker college comp does not mean it would translate against a shitty professional team.

I just don't see it happening, as much as I would love to see it. Every game I have seen Kentucky play this year has proven to me that if you get into the paint off of the dribble, then there will be several hands there to contest your shot. They also have the length to sage off the shooter another half step and still be able to contest NDs threes. Not to mention, they play 4 guards, which probably means Kentucky will be abusing nd in the post and not having much trouble shooting over ND. When I look at candidates to beat Kentucky, I look for teams that can score,,have depth, and have pretty good length to assist getting their shot off as well as for defensive purposes. Note Dame has a great offense, but they have no depth and no length. I just see no tre dame struggling to score on uk and having even more trouble defending Kentucky. Kentucky will make the game a grind, and notre dame will have no chance.

To add to what you said.. everyone in the nba is super quick and athletic.

Roy Hibbert says "Hi"

There may be some nba talent on UK(I know there are certainly players on there that will never set foot in the nba), but EVERYONE on the sixers was elite in college and has nba ability.

Here's the current Sixers Roster. I'd love to hear how you think EVERYONE of these guys was elite in college:

Furkan Aldemir
Isaiah Canaan
Robert Covington
Joel Embiid
Jerami Grant
Luc Mbah a Moute
Nerlens Noel
Jason Richardson
Glenn Robinson
Thomas Robinson
JaKarr Sampson
Henry Sims
Ish Smith
Hollis Thompson
Tony Wroten

There's just no way UK has enough fire-power to step on the court against any NBA team and not get embarrassed.

The fallacy here is assuming that the Sixers are an NBA team. most of those guys wouldn't be playing on other NBA teams, and only three players on their active roster have any significant NBA experience (in the league for more than two seasons) and one of those guys is a veteran who can't stay healthy anymore and is currently not playing.

BTW, douggie, how in the hell did you let that happen. I mean, at least UVA has been around a while, but you let Notre Dammit waltz right in and take it.

It wasn't me Trolly. I played about as well as I could. It may have been the beer I've drank over the years to make me a step slow.

Ok, so you pick the one guy that will stand there and shut UK's centers down.

They're not even the worst team. I'm sorry, but they're more than big enough to shut down your bigs and from there, they would absolutely outshoot UK and made them look sad. In the end, your team just doesn't have the shooting to keep up.

The only way Kentucky would stand a chance against a pro team would be if they were absolutely lights out from the field. They wouldn't score a point in the paint.

Right there is the only thing I had an objection. You have put the spin on what I was saying. I never said Kentucky could ever beat any NBA team; just said they would do well inside the paint.

The the least experienced team. They're the youngest team, and they are one of the least talented teams at the moment.

Yeah other teams might have slightly worse records, but the Sixers are the worst overall team, (the dumb bastards can't even tank right) and the best matchup in the NBA for Kentucky.

Who is going to shutdown UK's bigs on the Sixers> Noel and?

Noel and?

Noel and?

nd only has 2 big guys. I expect both to be in foul trouble most of the game. auguste needs to grow a pair for nd to have any chance

The one big thing that stands out in the nba is how fast the game moves and how those guys can just flat out shoot the shit out of it from everywhere! College kids just can't shoot anywhere near that level. UK made some shots the other night, but they had to have their feet set first. The last college player I saw that truly shot like an nba player was curry. The bigs for UK have been good, but I don't think any of them are super skilled. Okafor for Duke is way ahead of them as far as offense is concerned. As good as UK seems to be at the college level when they're on, I just don't see them being able to even buy one game in the nba... their guards just don't shoot well enough and bigs would get smothered.

I good with most of that; especially about the guards not shooting that well and college players don't move well without the ball, pass as well and a whole bunch of other skill things. That said, the Kentucky bigs as a group are the best in college. If Okafor had some help, that would be a good thing; but his help is not nearly as good as Culley-Steins'. I'm not sure if Okafor is better than Culley-Stein or Carl Townes. Probably better to compare Towns and Okafor as they are both freshmen. Okafor has the better stats, but Towns gets so much help, there is no way, no matter how good he is, to accumulate those kind of stats.

Reminds me of the 90-91 UNLV team. Everyone said they were unbeatable too. That everyone else was just playing for second. That it would take a combination of UNLV playing their worst game of the season while their opponent played near-perfect. And that's exactly what happened when they lost in the Final Four. And That UNLV team would wipe the floor with this Kentucky team 9 times out of 10. Nobody is unbeatable.
You're freaking crazy if you think that UNLV beats this years UK 9 of 10. I think UK wins a best of 7 against them

I think Notre Dame has to shoot "lights out" from the 3 point area. I have Notre Dame in my bracket to play Kentucky, so I am a fan of how Notre Dame can play...just think it ends tomorrow. 1st half close; Kentucky will wear them out.

even if they shoot lights out they still are going to struggle on the defensive glass

I think Arizona has a chance to give them some issues too. Arizona has a defense that can bend but not break, and if Stanley Johnson is on point, then they have an outside chance at an upset.

That is... If Arizona beats Wisconsin...
