I'm not sure that'll be enough? What lube do you recommend?
Using lube now is like putting a condom on after you already knocked your girl up, it's too late. Kentucky already went in dry and had their way with you. Kentucky is legit and they are lining up to damage another O-ring.

I good with most of that; especially about the guards not shooting that well and college players don't move well without the ball, pass as well and a whole bunch of other skill things. That said, the Kentucky bigs as a group are the best in college. If Okafor had some help, that would be a good thing; but his help is not nearly as good as Culley-Steins'. I'm not sure if Okafor is better than Culley-Stein or Carl Townes. Probably better to compare Towns and Okafor as they are both freshmen. Okafor has the better stats, but Towns gets so much help, there is no way, no matter how good he is, to accumulate those kind of stats.

I only give the nod to Okafor in scoring. From what I've seen, his game is just a little more advanced than what I see from culley-steins and towns. But defense and/or rebounding is another story altogether... every big guy on UKs team is probably better than Okafor in that category.

As far as UK competing in the nba, there's no doubt they have players that could go in and make an immediate impact. It's the guys that don't seem ready for the nba yet(or just don't have nba potential) that would be a huge liability.

Yeah the college to pro sports comparisons never get old.

Just don't understand why people say it.

Alabama wouldn't beat the 0-16 lions.

UK wouldn't beat the Knicks.

Etc....

Simple fact.

Agreed... People forget that the best in College/Europe go to the NBA... Plus, experience in the NBA makes a huge difference... You can't just put a college team against a bunch of veterans in the NBA w/ NBA experience... UK wouldn't only go 0-4 in a game series but they would get blown out in every game as well...

Point me to the Veterans on the 76ers. Point me to the experienced players. What players on that team have significant NBA experience?

Don't get me wrong, I still think the 76ers win a series, but I don't think it's nearly the vast difference that you make it out to be. The 76ers are an NBA team in name only. If you look at that roster, there is hardly anything "NBA" about it.

Anyone who believes Kentucky would stand a chance against the Sixers is an idiot. The Sixers have beaten teams such as the Hawks (twice), the Cavs, and the Pelicans. Kentucky would be lucky to lose by 50 points to those teams.

Kentucky could play the 76ers 500 times, and they would still lose every single time. Enough of this fucking nonsense.

As the guy who brought up this silly conversation, I agree. I thought my statement would be taken as the hilarious exaggeration it was meant to be.

My bad. All I meant to say is Kentucky is really good

Who gives a shit what teams the 76ers beat? NBA teams take games off all the time to rest their good players. The Sixers won in a few glorified exhibition games. They're an NBA team IN NAME ONLY.

YES. The Sixers win a series with KY.
YES. They probably win a vast majority of games in a series with KY.
But I haven't seen a single compelling point to make me think that UK stands no chance of winning whatsoever.

And there probably isn't a "compelling point" that will make you think that way, and that's cool. This entire thread has gone from what I intended (Kentucky is really good) to something I should have seen coming (Kentucky could actually beat an NBA team).

This is all my fault. Sorry.

no worries. nobody is blaming you. nobody is saying that UK could beat an NBA team. I'm suggesting that UK wouldn't get destroyed by a team that isn't really an NBA team.

I wasn't referring to you. I was referring to this Trolly guy who for some reason thinks this team would stand a chance against any NBA team. This is fucking delusional.

This team has absolutely no shot against the Philies. None. You could argue for the next 10 years, but you'd still be wrong.

And if I wanted my "they would win a 7 game series" statement to be taken seriously, I would have said the 76ers as opposed to the Knicks.

I still think this is a silly discussion though. We all seem to be on the same side of it. Kentucky could, if all the stars aligned, beat the 76ers, but it is very unlikely.

We all agree there? Good. Hopefully Wisconsin will beat them next round.
