Alright @GoldRusher Let's do a side by side comparison. Now, I'll admit you have our backs beat in experience, but that wasn't the argument. You said you have the deepest and most talented running back group in the conference.

West Virginia

RB1: Justin Crawford, 247 composite 3*, #35 JUCO recruit in his class. Offers include West Virginia, Missouri, and Louisville.

RB2: Kennedy McKoy, 247 composite 3*, #642 ranked in his class and #40 RB. Offers include West Virginia, Vanderbilt, North Carolina, and NC State.

RB3: Martell Pettawat, 247 composite 3*, #477 ranked in his class and # 27 RB. Offers include West Virginia, Minnesota, and Michigan state

Oklahoma:

RB1: Rodney Anderson: 247 composite 4*, ranked 155 recruit overall and 4 at his position. Offers include Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and Texas A&M

RB2: Abdul Adams: 247 composite 4*, ranked 336 overall and #16 ranked RB. Offers include, Oklahoma, Alabama, Michigan, Georgia, and Notre Dame.

RB3: Trey Sermon: 247 composite 4*, ranked 185 overall and #12 RB. Offers include Oklahoma, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and Ohio state to name a few.

This list does not even include Marcelius Sutton and Kennedy Brooks. You scoff at the lack of in game experience. Son, those first two are men who've waited their turn behind Perine and Mixon. You can rest on that all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that you're full of shit when you claim to have the most talented RB group in the conference.

There is an absolute Grand Canyon in talent difference between Oklahoma and West Virginia, and whether you want to admit it or not, you're on the wrong side of it. You're West Virginia, they're Oklahoma. No matter how much you want it, you ain't their peers. You ain't on their level.

If Rypien went down, I think our season would end the same, I just don't see Rypien as a game changer. Except when he has 5 turnovers in a game. He seems to have 2 of those a year.

We need him to come out the better this year than he did last year. Our team was a mess for far too much of last year. We've got some great WR talent, but I'm worried he may not find his groove with his receivers for a couple games. Can't afford that since we're headed to Columbus week 2.

FSU should be tough this year. Bama just reloads and lets be honest, they'll only face one legitimate offense, two at most till they get to the CFP. Then all bets are off anyways.

Oklahoma returns some studs on the defensive side of the ball, but they're going to have to shore up that interior D to hang with the elite teams. They've got some things to prove at ILB and DT. They should be vastly improved in the secondary which was a fucking dumpster fire most of the year.

Petersen's first two years at Washington were 6 - 6 regular season records. I doubt it would be much different if Browning goes down.

Maybe if you think Carta-Samuels is as bad as Cyler Miles (he's not), and even if he is that's a stretch. Even with the guys they're losing I don't think the defense is taking much of a step back. You could cut offensive scoring production in half last year and they wouldn't have lost more than 3 regular season games.

There have been teams in the recent past I feared their backup more than their starter so for sure it's not a death nail for every team. I mean Darnold was a backup to start last year.

Just in our case I see no chance any of the others comes close to what Browning brings to the table.

He wouldn't have to come close to get wins though. Considering the schedule, the running game potential, and the defense, all hope of a really good year wouldn't be close to being lost.
