OK you gamblers, I'm heading to Vegas

Father son trip with my 87 year old dad. Gonna play poker and bet football.

I never bet sports with any real intent so looking for ideas for Saturday and Sunday. Probably do some parlays just for laughs, no big amounts bet maybe $50 a pop.

Gonna bet Cal minus the points even though I don't like to bet my teams, I'm there to have fun with my dad.

What other college games look good? Texas seems like a juggernaut, maybe them too?

Pros I like the Jets vs Wilson and the Steelers, and maybe the Falcons?

Thanks. I'm a Raiders fan if I had to pick a team, since my wife is. They look pretty shitty too right now. But in LA they will be basically the home team so might be a good bet.

Man the Orleans is very cool. It’s like its own little city, you never have to leave if you don’t want to. They have some decent tourney action there so you should be able to find whatever you want poker wise, it’s a real good room. They have a 24 hour Keno lounge. I’ll stop by there and play like 50 games of keno at $1 each. I pick the same 8 numbers. You can just stop back in the next day or whatever and check your card. Last time I was there I hit $1500 on that $50 play.

Ok I haven’t looked for plays yet but I’ll post a few later. You never know though lol. I seem to do better betting fewer games for more money but once again, you never know lol.

Speaking of the Orleans I saw George Carlin there during his final tour. And when I was a UNLV season ticketholder, don't remember the exact year, but Roy Williams got upset with some Tar Heels fans because they sold their tickets instead of attending the game.

Thanks! My dad doesn't play Vegas poker so I won't be staying at the hotel the whole time. On Sunday for sure we will find a great sports book and just watch NFL all day.

Hardly worried about the money on the football bets just want to have a rooting interest since I'm here for it, just know you guys seem pretty sharp on these. DJ's BYU idea looks good but 9 is a lot of points vs OK St (even at home)...then again it's tonight and might not be getting bets in tonight, we'll see.

Raiders are simply not good this year, it's no surprise and pretty much how things usually are. Very tough franchise to root for, like the Browns.
