OK Husker fans......

As a PSU fan, I am really excited to have the Huskers a part of the Big-10. Was talking to my buddy who is a huge Sooners fan and he actually admitted that he had never met a true Huskers fan that was a total dickhead and he had a lot of respect for Nebraska. I dont hear things like this much but always enjoyed Husker football especially with Tom Osbourne(sp) as head coach.

My question is, how do you all generally feel about joining the Big-10? Is there already a "most hated" team you guys are gunning for? My guess it would be Ohio State?

My wife is Mich St. fan born and raised. So the UM hate was a natural affliction for me, 1997 had a little to add as well. However as a Husker fan, not a Big 12 fan, I am excited to play in a conf. that has the tradition as the Big 10. As well as a team the has a coach like Paterno who I have always respected and revered as one of the best in history. Looking forward to many a trenched out battle on the field, not of the wallet.
I will miss the old Big 8 rivalries, but in the end it will all work itself out one way or another.

I totally agree. I think Nebraska is a perfect fit in the Big-10. You guys will jump right in and mix well. Wouldnt it be great that if PSU didnt win the first championship game, you guys do?

Because when I used to post over on the ESPN board I tried to be nice to the Iowa trolls (yea for some reason we had Iowa trolls even though we were in the Big 12) and yet they still treated me like garbage.

Now I have a friend, one of my close friends who is becoming a Hawkeye fan and is talking trash to me. I just want Nebraska to kill them. The rest of the teams I just want Nebraska to beat, not kill

Iowa has had Penn States number this decade so I am not real fond of them but their program has become quite impressive. I personally think their coach is one of the better coaches in the country.

I live on the border of Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska........ So there is a lot of both Nebraska and Iowa fans here.........
