Russell won't ever admit it, not even to himself, but he's going to miss Carroll and Schneider.

But, he's got his money and his celebrity wife so I guess his life is complete.

Well we'll see what Payton does. Could be great for Russ. Could be terrible.

Probably a really smart move, but it shouldn't be a surprise since it's Sean Payton we're talking about here. Denver has paid 3 1st round picks and 3 2nd round picks to get the QB and HC in place. I think that is an absurd price, but I guess they're going all in on those 2 guys. Looking forward to seeing how it works out.

Payton is from the Bill Parcell's tree... Could be a rude awakening for RW or he could embrace it... He's definitely taken a huge hit to his ego...

I said this a week ago in the main thread.

This is only going to lead in divorce

I like what he said, "Players and staff members only" will be allowed on the premises during practice/work outs...

RW's posse will be going bye bye... I can see Payton taking RW's office away from him as well... SP is the type of HC that doesn't allow favortism or this clown show to go on behind closed doors... Payton is going to want to earn the respect by the players and that's to send a message right away imo...

Well, RW's contract is prohibitive for a split for at least 2 more years, and by then it will be pretty clear if this new situation works or not.

I like what Payton is doing, I just think it was unwise of him to drag it out in the open for public consumption. That kind of shit should stay in the locker room for as long as possible. He's already created a focal point for the media that won't go away for a while.

That was his public decree that there was a new sheriff in town.

Hopefully Russell takes this stuff to heart. He wants to be Drew Brees, so hopefully that means he'll listen to the man who made Drew Brees Drew Brees. Used to be that Russell worked harder than anyone - it's been a while since those reports were made.

Yeah, Russ needs to be knocked down a peg or 2 it seems. He became a bit too preoccupied with always trying to be on-brand.

That's what I've been saying the last 4 years but I got a lot of angry pro-Russell responses in here until opening day last year. Too much Hollywood Russ and not enough football Russ. He and his wife always claim to be staunch Christians but Ciara always dresses like she just came off of a p o r n set.

Well, something that is true now might not have been true 4 years ago. I think his first year in Denver maybe he thought he was running the team. I don't think he carried himself that way here with PC to such a degree.

Half isnt bad, I think 2% of the clinton foundation funds went to charity
... and that's a, "giving the Clinton's the benefit of the doubt" kind of a guess...

This is the main reason I just don't give to charity unless I know the charity very well... Black Lives Matter is a great example... The founder of BLM is a multi-millionaire now...

Then there's how much was he actually involved? Sounds like he may not have had a huge hand in the day to day. Wouldn't be the first time an athlete opened a foundation and had someone else run it. Hell, check out the Ben Zobrist story and what happened with his foundation. Hired one of his pastors to run it, dude stole money from it, screwed Zobrist's wife and advised Zobrist as his spiritual leader on how to handle marital issues when she became distant during the affair. Sometimes, being famous just isn't worth it.
