He had a great quote on KD going from the Splash brothers to the Dribble brothers.....LOL.

I'll give him credit for that one

Usually. Wonder what got into him

One thing that makes Chuck good at his job is that he has no filter and he will say whatever is on his mind.

He has some pretty wild opinions and he isn’t afraid to express them. This is 1 example.

It is completely tone def and he is correctly receiving backlash from his comments, but I respect him for always speaking his mind.

Oh I have no problem with him speaking his mind. Means he isn't being "controlled" by anyone or news media... But this he deserves (as you mentioned) the criticism he is getting

They shouldn't even be playing. But if any of them wish to go to the front of the line, donate to a medical center that is overextended due to the pandemic - I think that's fair.

I don't think he's necessarily wrong as far as NBA, NFL and NHL players being able to "jump the line". But he is wrong in the reason he gave for it. He said because of the taxes they pay (which basically comes down to how much more money they make) which should have nothing to do with it.

Also, they certainly shouldn't be vaccinated ahead of doctors, nurses, first responders, etc. (which I doubt he meant). But when you look at it from an essential workers point of view, it makes more sense. They are out doing their jobs and having to travel while they are doing their jobs. That puts them in a higher risk category.

So, while they shouldn't be ahead of doctors, etc. I don't see an issue with them getting vaccinated ahead of folks like myself who are working from home and don't really have to go anywhere.

If he has said it as eloquently as you just did (though that's not Chucks style) then things would be ok

As a patrician myself, I would have preferred if Sir Charles used the term "plebeian" to describe the nameless rabble.

Yeah but he obviously should have thought this one through. I mean the obvious next step is that the poor go last and we know he wouldn’t say that.

Eh.

Where is the fun in that!

Chuck doesn’t get paid to think. He gets paid to say dumb stuff like this and to fight with Shaq.

I have a lot of respect for Barkley for his comments about personal responsibility over the years.

Tax payers fund a lot of the research which leads to vaccines...I don't really see a problem with it tbh

How vaccines and drugs usually work is the price is high and then it gets lowered, if you have the money you should be able to pay more and get it early...That also helps the drug companies because they make more money which can be used to find more cures

Barkley is unfiltered and clearly is just arguing to do whatever it takes to keep basketball going.
