I just love how people name 1 or 2 players but what about the thousands that didnt get hurt and got drafted after a bowl game. Its football and injuries are part of it. U play to win the game.

These sissy boys are so soft and I wouldnt want them on my team. They will quit on you when things get tough in a season.

Personally, I see a difference between making a decision to leave after a season is over and quitting during it. I guess you don't, which doesn't completely surprise me.
I do see that difference. My LOL at Zeke is solely about his statement of "giving anything for one more game". That statement is unequivocally bullshit. If he had commented on finishing the season out I'd be on agreement with him

I think we're supposed to understand "anything" here to be similar to the "anything" Meat Loaf sung about.

In this case, "that" is "give up $25 million guaranteed to play in the NFL".
If I could give this more than 1 great rating I would lol.

Since McCaffery and Fournette are students first as stated by the NCAA, can we be sure they are not just studying for the finals? That should be priority number 1 for sure.

These clowns are always willing to say this crap UNTIL something happens. What about Jaylon Smith? Sure he got insurance money, but he probably still lost out on like $10M extra considering he was a top 5 pick and dropped into the early 2nd.

That SAID, lot of players DON'T skip out on bowl games and still get taken 1st overall etc. in the draft, so this certainly says something about McCaffrey and Fournette. Are they just looking to get paid and pull a Trent Richardson? Looks possibly like it.

You can get injured in any game along the way. Why play in a non-conference game against a good team that has monster athletes? Why play in that cupcake game against that FCS school when your team will win even without you? Don't wanna trip or have a freak accident or something...better safe than sorry.

At least go out there for one series or something, you don't have to do much, just make an appearance, then sit out the rest of the game.

I'm wearing no shoes and watches are stupid

If you are a salesman you should definitely have a nice timepiece on your wrist. It is more of a statement than "what time is it".

The bottom line is Zeke was in the exact same position these two are in and chose to finish out the year and play the bowl game with his teammates. If he wants to comment on their decisions, he has every right to do so.

Anyone that has an issue with what he said is reading way too much into it.

He is better than Freeman. I don't think I've ever said otherwise

Won't he get to FA sooner since he is 2nd round? So he could make that $10M up if he succeeds.

That's my take too. he quit, but after the season and when his team was ready for it. It wasn't like he just one week decided he wasn't going to play in the next game, leaving his team in a lurch.

Maybe so, maybe not. One of the buyers I work with at a large customer of mine looks at a salesman with nice things (cars, watches, etc) with disdain. Says they must be charging too much.

Of course, he's the biggest half-wit I've ever seen rise to the rank that he has, so there's that.

Huh? Both are 4 years for a 1st and early 2nd. Both Jaylon and Elliott's contract are 4 years, only difference is Elliott is getting $18M more out of it.

And the 5th year option for 1st round picks is extremely high. Like $10M+
