It is cruel but I hope Manning lands in Arizona. We'd knock him to retirement in our first game against them. They have a pathetic oline that is going to need two new OTs at the very least come game 1.

Sucks that we might have to tie up $6.2 for one year with him. It would be nice if they worked out a cap friendlier deal.

Ray, thank you for all the work for finding what the real numbers are. It's crazy how Cohn, Maiocco, and a couple of other sites have such differing numbers.

So, going by this, counting Goldson's tag number-6.2 mil, we are 25-26 under the cap(including cutting Spencer).

So, it's rookie pool, Alex, Rogers, Costanzo, Morgan, Snyder.

The FO have shown considerable game in structuring deals but the one name that jumps out is Rogers. Am I wrong in thinking that he looks like the odd man out? I can see all the other guys signing team friendly deals. Rogers' response to the Brooks deal makes me feel less confident that he will do the same.

I think Rogers doesn't find the market as big as he would like and he returns to the 49ers on a cap friendly deal.

I don't see us having the room to offer Wallace a front loaded deal if Alex and Rogers return.

I absolutely agree with both things but I'm a bit worried that someone may do to us with Rogers what some are suggesting we do with Wallace-A front loaded deal that would make it hard to resign him. Albeit, a short term front loaded deal.

This is just a gut feeling but it feels like any hope of signing a top FA WR is a pipe dream.
