What would be the return package for our "best/better" WR?

The Morgan decision
2:35PM ET
Josh Morgan | 49ers
After ending the 2011 season on injured reserve, WR Josh Morgan has uncertain prospects as a free agent this offseason. It's possible that he'll return to the San Francisco 49ers, but there are also a number of other teams that could be interested.
On Thursday, Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reported that there was "some buzz" on the WR at the NFL scouting combine, with the Jacksonville Jaguars cited as one of the teams potentially interested.
But will he stay in San Francisco? A source close to the WR revealed to Maiocco that "nothing is cooking" with the Niners right now, though obviously that can change prior to the opening of the market on March 13.

You get what you pay for.
The thing that bothers me is the type of receiver I want, you CAN get lucky and draft a big WR like that outside of the top 10 picks. Kenny Britt (1st round 30th) Demaryius Thomas (1st round 22th) Brandon Marshall (round 4 pick 119) Vincent Jackson (round 2 pick 61).
But for some reason, the 49ers NEVER take a chance drafting a bigger WR in the draft. It seems like must have drafted the least number of WRs in the draft in the past 10 years. Crabtree was our big splash (who's not that big and physical anyways), and then other than that it's been these smaller later round dudes like Ronald Johnson, Kyle Williams, Josh Morgan, Jason Hill, Brandon Williams, etc.
I had high hopes for Braylon too.
But I'm REALLY hoping this year we take a bigger WR in the 2nd or later rounds and we strike gold. It seems like this is the year there will be several 6'3"+ raw WRs available past the 1st round.
Who is basically Crabtree all over again. Very similar size, both lack top-end (or even middle-of-the-road) speed. I'm not sure there's a receiver in this draft who compares better to Crabtree. So we trade a guy under contract for say a 4th round pick, then use our first rounder to replicate him. Great call. Really.
huh. 2nd rounder
You think the Jags give up a second rounder - the 38th pick in the draft - for Crabtree? Are they just idiots, or is Crabtree better than you're giving him credit for?
it's the jags...
I want jessenia vice.
With Brooks being resigned, it really killed the fun in hyping a Mario Williams to SF theories LOL
Watch it, she is my best friend's sister.
She is a hottie...
Its looking like Seattle has the ebst shot at him within the division
Marques Colston - WR - Saints NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora predicted on Thursday's Total Access that the Saints will lose free agent Marques Colston if he makes it to the open market.
"There will likely be more money for him elsewhere," LaCanfora explained. Colston may be comfortable with coach Sean Payton and QB Drew Brees in New Orleans, but this is his one shot at a mega contract to set himself up for life. The Redskins, Vikings, Bears, and Jaguars could be among Colston's most fervent suitors.
Brandon Lloyd - WR - Rams NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora reiterated that free agent WR Brandon Lloyd will make it to the open market.
The Rams have reportedly begun discussions with Lloyd, but he will "get a chance to test free agent waters," LaCanfora said on Thursday's Total Access. LaCanfora calls the Patriots a "likely landing spot," citing Lloyd's relationship with coordinator Josh McDaniels. Lloyd is not a candidate for the franchise tag.
Peyton Manning - QB - Colts Bob Kravitz of the Indianapolis Star reports Peyton Manning is working out in Florida and throwing "much, much better."
NFL Network's Albert Breer has heard similar reports. It was the well-sourced Kravitz who told the Tony Kornheiser Show early last month that Manning did not yet look like an NFL quarterback in throwing sessions. Between the Kravitz's report and another by ESPN's Chris Mortensen, it seems that Manning has made substantial progress over the past 4-6 weeks. We wouldn't be surprised to see a free agent blitz on Manning starting at midnight on March 13.
