Interesting how half time adjustments work. You never think to remind the kick-off squad to keep their lanes and put a hat on somebody or count on a blackout, though.

I know there's always something close to a penalty on almost every kickoff but Bruce Miller was mugged on that return.

Not an excuse, just pointing out that the teams the niners have trouble with are those that want to get as physical as them (Seattle, NY Giants, Rams, and Baltimore) and the ravens took it to em from the start.

Composure was the last thing I was worried about but it sure did seem that the pressure got to them early.

Seems like the 49ers should have made halftime adjustments before the game began. I can't believe how terribly they started each of the last 5-6 games, falling behind and then having to come back. Is Harbs wound up so tight that the team isn't ready to play right out of the locker room? What gives?

Tough news for Chris Carpenter.

General manager John Mozeliak and manager Mike Matheny announced Tuesday that Carpenter almost certainly won't pitch in 2013 and that his star-crossed career is probably over after a recurrence of a nerve injury that cost him most of last season. Carpenter did not attend, and Mozeliak said the emotions for the 37-year-old were still too raw.

News just broke on Twitter, Romo and Giants agree on 2 year deal.

noice...

The off-season is officially done now.

Franchez, Huff, Wilson, Riot, Mota gone

Ramirez and Torres come back

We all thought the biggest competition in ST would be for the last spot in the bully, but with Ramirez back in the fold, you have to figure him for that spot (not guarenteed, but he enters as the favorite)

But as it turns out, there should be some good competition for the util inf spot instead. Tanaka, Abreu, Gillaspie, Noonan all have at least an outside shot at that job, with Tanaka probably the leader going in.

Here's an article on the signing. No terms announced yet:

And then there were none. Two open spots -- fifth OF and sixth IF

Oh, and for the Romonator, I'd guess 2/8.4

3.6 this year, 4.8 next year.

Bonser, Gaudin, Ramirez should have a good competition for the last BP stop, with Hembree having an outside (way outside IMO) chance.

Only to OFers? To go along with Torres, Pence, Peguero, JJ Perez, and Kieschnick (Pagan and Blanco will be in WBC). Brown should get a lot of PT.
