Serena vs. Muguruza Finals:

Muguruza won the opening game, to go up a break. She then held to go up 2-0.

At 4-2, Serena broke back.

Serena would go on to win the 1st set, 604.

In the 2nd set, Serena went up 5-1. She then served for the match.

Muguruza broke back, then held, for 5-3.

Serena tried serving for the match again.

She was down 0-40.

She forced deuce, then had an ace to set up championship point. Her last 4 serves were all down the middle.

Muguruza won the next point, to bring it back to deuce.

Muguruza gets BP # 4, but hits it long during a rally. After a review, it barely looks long.

After another long rally, Muguruza sets up BP # 5 after Serena hit it into the net.

Muguruza gets the break. She's broken Serena twice after being down 5-1 in the set.

It's now 5-4, Muguruza to serve.

Muguruza is down 0-40. A tear came down her right eye after she lost that last point.

Serena has championship point #2 now. She wins.

So, after Serena won match point yesterday, I wanted to time how long ESPN's uninterrupted post-match coverage was.

31 minutes.

You see the entire ceremony; the walk back into the locker room; the walk to the balcony; back into the locker room.

It's been like this since ESPN took over for Wimbledon, in 2012.

None of this commercials every 2 mins during the post-match ceremony, like NBC used to do.

Does the loser of the coin toss select the side, like they do at other tourneys? If so, I don't really hear or see which side the loser of the coin toss selects.

I didn't see it during the SFs either, it wasn't clear what the loser picked.

FED wins the first game at love.

There was one rally, during the last point.

FED got his racquet on a lot of returns, but a lot of them were long.

During the one rally, he won.

FED broken. He loses BP on a volley into the net.

He usually makes volleys (even though his are at hard angles).

FED with a ninja return and volley point to set up BP.

He doesn't get it.

He eventually loses the game.

Tiebreak.

There have been a lot of shots that I think FED is hitting long, but are not called out.

Makes me nervous.

I hate it when FED gets the first break of the 1st set, and still loses the set.

FED didn't play a great return game, it was more about Djokovic making mistakes that gave FED a few chances, IMO.

Djokovic saves a bunch of more BPs at 5-5. He goes on to win the game.

Another tie break. Federer needs to raise the level here especially minimize the errors.
